I know Battier has been a good, but LeBron is a different animal this year. I mean he's been reincarnated after the Olympics by winning that Gold Medal. That's one reason why their differential in beating teams has been so high. So, how do we stop him? I mean just throwing Battier or Artest isn't really going to stop him. But then again, 75% us were worried about Harris vs. Brooks and Brooks flat out owned him.

There's only one solution......guard him with Shane first then Artest and alternate..

Let him shoot the ball. That's it. Just don't let him driving.

The same technique the Celtics used in the 08 Semi-finals and during the 2007 NBA Finals the Spurs used.

I clearly remember that LeBron was shooting 17% in the first 2 games against the Celtics.

Lebron still loves taking it to the hoop. Our defense still loves sagging back to the middle. A mixture of Battier and Artest to give him different looks and Yao and others to stop him short of the rim ought to be enough to keep him at or near his season averages.

I think this year's Cleveland is benefiting from teams paying too much attention to Lebron and not enough to the other 4 players. We need to just do what we do - we're actually one of the best equipped teams to handle him defensively as is.

Yeah, I was thinking that too. If we can let LeBron have his, then we can win this game. I think Shane and Ron are pretty rested, I mean they aren't tired even though it's the 4th game in 5 nights but I think we just need him to get his and stop everyone else. The other one that worries me is Mo Williams. Rafer is finally back, but will he be able to defend Mo Williams?

And also, Z always does a good job on Yao but this is a different Yao, so can Yao score over Z or will his height bother Yao?

Wouldn't be surprised to see Adelman throw Battier, Artest, McGrady, and Hayes at him at different times. Depending on if the staff has enough time to come up with a strategy like that. We will be fine. I am more worried about Mo Williams actually. Lebron won't beat us. Not tomorrow night.

Let Lebron score 50....NEVER double team him......guard the rest of the team, they will wilt, and the Rockets TEAM will win the game over a great individual effort from Bron bron.

Just stay in front of him, rotate, Battier and Artest and maybe a bit of Tmac....and make him shoot jumpers as often as you can.

So what, I mean every night somebody does it. Nobody here really cares if Yao gets dunked on, it's overrated really. LeBron posterizes a lot of folks. Though, Yao did really block him in this one game at Toyota Center. I don't have a video but I know someone here remembers when Yao really blocked the hell out of LeBron on a dunk attempt. ;)

The Rockets did a pretty good job on Wade last time. I guess they should try something similar.

I think Delonte West and Moe Williams are the two guys we shall worry, too. Have you guys seen recent Cav's game, these two PGs are hitting shots
VS OKC VS Denver VS Wolves
    fgm-a 3gm-a fgm-a 3gm-a fgm-a 3gm-a
    Delonte West 8-12 2-3 8-13 2-5 9-16 0-2
    Moe Williams 8-14 2-3 3-9 1-4 3-8 0-2

They are a big threat. W.Szczerbiak is also a threat, too. They have very good shooters. We should certainly step up our defense on the shooters.

    weak side, help defense.

contain him to a certain amount with battier. if he revs up, play battier artest and tmac's minutes all together, battier guards him and have either artest or tmac provide help defense if he decides to drive and from which block he starts from. he cant hide from both tmac and artest.

also wear him out by making him play defense against the rockets aggressive driving hard offense. have tmac and artest both go at him hard.

also put way too much garlic in his spaghetti.

Ask Yao to wear a Deke's face mask. LeBron sees Deke's face in the paint, he's going to shoot jumpers. ;)
