Eventually San Antonio will find their way out of the top 4... but than again maybe not!

Are you really going to complain about avoiding OKC and LAC until the WCF. You should be ecstatic that we get the Blazers and most likely the Spurs in the first two rounds while OKC and LAC have to deal with Dallas and GSW while the Spurs draw the Grizz. It couldn't have set up any better.

    Very strange thread.

We just have to win more games. We're a young team, really should improve going forwards, and were very close to snaring 3rd seed this year (who is to say Dwight didn't get 'injured' so that we got 4th seed and the Spurs rather than 3rd and the Thunder?)

Personally I'm thrilled with the potential playoff road we have in front of us.
If we manage to knock off the Blazers (and our record against them is good) we should get the Spurs - who struggle mightily against us.
I feel as though we 'should' make the WCF.

I'm pretty happy in 4th seed really... if the favored team wins in every non-Rockets series we will play Portland, San Antonio, and then OKC for the WCF. We're favored against Portland, probably about 50/50 or slightly less against San Antonio, and not too far below that against OKC. Which means we actually have a decent shot at making the Finals this season.

Imagine if we instead played Dallas in the first round, and the Clippers in the second. That would be a gauntlet--Dallas usually has our number and the Clippers annihilate us. We might exit first round, and would almost certainly lose in the 2nd round. OKC in the 2nd round would be harder as well.

We are in our best case scenario facing SA in 2nd round.
    Rejoice!

It's just weird because during the Tmac/Yao era we were never able to beat that 4 seed hump either.

Moved to the Eastern conference, the West has been killer for awhile now... Hawks get in with a 37-44

Yeah that kinda sh** makes a joke out of the NBA. Simply disgraceful. No team with a losing record should ever make the playoffs. What makes it even worse is that the Hawks might have less than 30 wins in the West... I'd probably take the Pelicans over them in a 7 game series.

The NBA needs to either lower the number of teams who make the playoffs to 6-7 per conference, re-align the conferences, or both. Especially considering no 7th or 8th seed has ever won it all.

This is an example of a bad thread.

Do you mean can they get above the 4th seed THIS year, NEXT year, or ANY year?

Asking a vague question in the title and not explaining what you mean is not what good thread starters do.

Not to be all jtr about this, but please people, put a little more effort into your threads.

Yea what a odd question? Win more games?...In the future Hopefully the Spurs will one get old b4 we do. I don't believe in the long term sustainability of the Clippers. Mostly we just have to get better role players.

I was going to say obtain a delorean, travel to 1997 and prevent Robinson from hurting back and foot. Grab Olajuwon and time travel to end of season. Rockets draft Duncan.

There were about five or six games earlier this season that we had no business losing. Win those, and we are the 2nd seed.

Big heavy but people of the early 80s that it was the shiznit. A car with almost the exact type of feel and balance was the pitiful BMW 8 series.
