Go to amazon.com tommorow. new shipment. but ps2 sucks anyway, way too much hype. wait for xbox. ------------------ We will ball.
If you go to amazon.com, you'd better be quick though before you're too late...PS2's are still selling pretty darn fast. Tenchi, I agree...the PS2 was definitely overhyped and hasn't really impressed me so far. ------------------
SFR: As long as the PS2 is selling like hotcakes and is in such huge demand, don't expect Sony to lower the price. However, its possible that come this fall the PS2's price may drop (but probably only by $50 or so) in order to counter the launches of Nintendo's GameCube and M$'s Xbox and remain competitive price-wise. In any case, I wouldn't expect a major price drop for the PS2 to occur any time soon...only minor. ------------------
Sony chartered some huge Russian jets to get those PS2s overseas into stores so I'm pretty sure you're gonna get your hands on one of those soon. ------------------ We will ball.
Elliott03 (and anyone else who's interested), there are currently over 14,000 PlayStation 2's available at PlayStation.com (the site is Sony's new online subsidary). More details (such as pricing and shipping information) are contained in this link: http://ps2.ign.com/news/30818.html ------------------ [This message has been edited by Cold Hard (edited January 30, 2001).]
Wow...I just checked out the site just for the hell of it, and it looks like all 14,000 units have already been sold (it said "this item is currently unavailable"). In less than a day. Hopefully they'll get restocked soon, since their shortage problems are pretty much over. ------------------
