Let's say there's a guy that Cleveland really wants, like Gooden, and the Rocks have a chance to draft him(he falls or the rocks win the 3rd spot).

    Would you do this trade?

Houston pick + Collie + T Morris(both for salary cap purposes)

    for

Cleveland pick + either Mihm or Diop

would Cleveland? I think they would, if they were really sold on Gooden and convinced that Mihm or Diop were nothing more than good backups.

I think a trade like this would be ideal. We pick up a backup C and still have a chance to nab a good frontcourt player in Wilcox/Butler/Woods/Euro-dude. And we'd still have the 15th pick to add yet another frontcourt player. Wow, depth.

    waddaya think?

I think the Cavs would be much more willing to part with Diop than with Mihm. Considering injuries troubles and the fact that he is still extremely raw, Diop may well be the odd man out in Cleveland.

Though Collier would be kind of redundant considering the remaining centers they have there, Morris would be a decent option at SF. Considering they really want to fill the SG and SF holes this offseason, they could use a couple of players like Gooden and Morris.

I think it'd work for the Rockets too, in terms of depth. Maybe moreso with Mihm, but Diop is more realistic in my view. The only problem - isn't Morris a free agent this offseason? If so, he can't be dealt.
