OK, say the Rocks aren't able to climb out of the hole and end up winning the lottery.

Meanwhile, DeJuan Wagner has a monster season, so he decides to declare for the draft. He's everyone's #1 prospect.

And he grows a couple of inches to 6'-5". (Hey, his dad's that tall, ya never know.)

    Should the Rocks draft him?

Now before you answer consider that a lot of people feel that Wagner is a bigger, stronger Iverson with better shooting ability. Could you imagine if Iverson were 6-5? Plus, as this season has shown, you can never have enough scorers.

But then again, the least of the Rocks' worries is their backcourt. There also could be some problems with minutes, which could upset chemistry. And there is still that little problem about frontcourt talent and presence, which is bad news in the Western Conference.

Honestly, I would still probably draft a F or C, or draft Wagner with the intentions of trading him for a good F or C.

    Thoughts?

Well, considering lottery teams usually needs to draft talent over position :( I'll go with Wagner...I think...but maybe Amare is a bigger talent, plus he's big. So I'll go with Amare.

I tried my best to watch the Memphis\Temple game last night, considering the Rocks were also on.

Wagner has a more mature, well-rounded, imaginative offensive game than over 50% of the players in the NBA right now. He has a really nice mid-range game, and his pull-up jumper is beautiful. Controlled, nice form and follow through, and he's learning to go left as well as right.

If only he were a little taller. :D

Dajuan would be a good pick. Amare Stoudemire is WAY overrated, and I absolutely do not want them to draft him, unless he ends up in the 2nd round or something. Here is what I think the top of the draft will look like...

    1.Jason Williams- Duke
    2.Dajuan Wagner- Memphis
    3. Chris Marcus- W. Kentucky
    4.Drew Gooden- Kansas
    5. Kareem Rush- Missouri
    6.Mike Dunleavy- Duke
    7.Lynn Greer- Temple
    8.Tayshaun Prince- Kentucky
    9. Yao Ming- China
    10.Brett Nelson- Florida

Here are some other interesting people if we trade down...

Maurice Baker- 6'1 PG out of OK. State, and I've seen alot of him, and he is a big-time scorer.

Kelly Wise- 6'11 C from Memphis

Chris Owens- 6'8 PF from Texas

And my sleeper for the draft, Aaron Mcgee, a 6'8 PF from Oklahoma.

let me know what you guys think.....

duke, Ming will be in the top 5 at worst. I don't see Prince going that high, I don't know.

I don't think Marcus will go near that high either.

IMO, he will be like Stanley Roberts, Thomas Hamilton, Bryant Reeves, etc...

i agree with you selections except for Tayshaun. I am a HUGE UK fan but unfortunately, Prince will not get drafted until mid t late first round.
