Is this a condition he will have for the rest of his career
    or
can it be fixed with surgery?

Career? Isn't your choice of word a little too dramatic?

    apparently It's a bruised knee

I'm not a doctor, but I play one on the BBS.

    It's not a career thing

Well, it must not be bothering him too much since he's been playing a ton of minutes lately. Hopefully, it won't bother him come playoff time.

I think they said in the Houston Chronicle that he would probably have to have knee surgery in the off season. My only hope is that his knee can hold up till then. If he goes down so do our playoff hopes.

They have drained the fluid from the knee twice. This does not sound good. I do not know how he can play with so much pain...

He had 4 lubricant shots injected into each knee when it was drained the last time. If he has cartlidge wearing thin in areas this might help a great deal. Only time will tell. It has worked with other NBA players in the past.

That's correct. Right now we are just hoping he can hold up for the rest of the season. But chances are he will need surgery after the season.

That kind of thing has been done to Jordan and Kobe before. Both of them finished season and playoffs.

I remember Michael Jordan's 2nd come back to play for Wizards. He got fluid drained from his knees from game to game, at the end of season, he got surgury on the knees. He came back half the player he was. Sura's condition does not look good at all.
