How are you taking the losing streak?

How are you taking the losing streak, esp. at this crucial time of the season?

I never did put high standards on this team, and I'm finding that to be paying off. I always thought that the Rockets overachieved since Yao's injury, when Tracy was really playing at MVP level. Mutombo, Howard... these aren't guys you can have as your starters when you're a contender. Plus, the Rockets didn't really have a bench. I always thought that this team was fun, but will get murdered in the playoffs. Yao's return would have defined whether this team was championship calibur, but I don't think the Rockets have been playing championship calibur basketball since Yao came back into the lineup. Hell, I think the Rockets have become complacent, esp. Tracy, with Yao in the lineup.

So, right now, I'm actually ok with the Rockets' performance. This three game losing streak has absolutely no bearing on my opinion of the Rockets. I wouldn't be suprised if this team loses to Utah in 7, esp. since the Rockets will be starting on the road - of course, I would still be rooting for them to win. But being disappointed? No. I'm more excited about this coming offseason.

Same here. It really doesn't sting that bad. I think a lot of people are pretty much resigned to the 5th playoff spot anyway. Some good in-game bench development (like last night) could only help.

Now we're getting to see that Luther Head can be that elusive bench scorer/sixth man we've been looking for, but he needs to be a LOT more aggressive. I was somewhat disappointed that they weren't running pick and roll plays at the top of the key to get him open for 3 pointers....but he definitely needs to drive to the hole a lot more often.

It doesn't matter. For pride sake, I wanted the Rockets record to be in the mid to high 50's but oh well. I guarantee victory over the Jazz in the first round. I just hope they start playing at a level that JVG is happy with because that means they'll be playing really really good heading into the playoffs.

We already locked up the fifth seed so it doesnt matter we lose all the remaining games.

I m okay with the losing streak, since we already locked up the 5th seed. Since we lost the most important game in the season, i.e. 1st april against the Jazz, it show that Homecourt or not in the 1st round playoffs,is not important anymore. Because no matters what, it will be a dogfight. Our stars, yao and t-mac, must bring their A-game night in night out for the rockets to advance!!!

    Go rockets go!

In stride ... The losses only cosmetically change our overall record but not likely our seeding. I don't think T-Mac needs much motivation for the playoffs. He remembers two years ago. The press clippings are already getting warmed up about how we won't beat Utah. I think come playoff time, he will be MORE than ready to refute his critics. I personally believe we will at least get to the second round vs Dallas but, don't kid yourself we are going to have to step it up major to beat Dallas, SA or Phoenix if we want to go to the finals this year. It can be done. I think we are the clear darkhorse for the WC. We could flame out in the second round though we have shown signs of playing well with Dallas eventhough we lost most of the time. Whereas, Phoenix man they are like a powder keg waiting to explode. The only thing we can hope from them is that they have to adjust to playoff mode and once again not enough defense and difficulty adjusting to half court basketball which largely is synonymous with playoff basketball. I think the Rox defense is definitely showing signs of being playoff ready, it's just will we be able to score enough points? We'll see ...

Just remember ... regular season is regular season and the playoffs are the playoffs. They're completely different from each other.

Why are you excited about the offseason? We will not be able to get anything good with the MLE and a 25th draft pick.

Frankly if I was a free agent I would take a long look at how Bonzi and VMAC feel about their new home here.

Actually, I don't think it matter at all.
Remember, the results of the following games in this regular season aren't significant.
What Rockets should do is just to have a good rest as well as make themselves prepared for the ongoing playoffs.
Hence, the losing streak is OK for me.

It doesn't matter. Develope the bench and rest our duo, it's a smart play. We'll do way better in the playoff.

Losing any game hurts. Knowing Tmac and Yao are having back problems, that hurts more.

after losing the Utah game... it pretty much didnt matter...after that...

as long as our guys stay healthy and our role players get some play time... the ones who need it...

who cares about the rest of the regular season...

and im a realist too... im sure most guys know we wont win it all...

but like I said before... we need to show prospective... free agents... and players who might want to come here in a trade...

that we are close but need a few more pieces... IE Tracy and Yao go off in the playoffs.. but Rafer plays only average... Mike Bibby sees that and thinks...

"hmmm... I could be a difference maker... maybe ill take a pay cut and join that team..."

Mike Bibby would be a god send....

Really I couldn't careless. I'm just waiting on the post season. This season is over in my mind.

Better make use of the time and get Bonzi back into shape in these games and give Vspan and Novak some playing time. We need Bonzi in the playoffs.

Normally I would be more pissed than normal, but the Astros losing streak is what's upsetting me.

Doesn't bother me so much, but would like to see other starters get some time off too....

Luther's shoulder looks like it bugs him....rest him...

Rafers shot bugs everyone ......rest him.....

Hayes......scared me when he got kneed in the nads....rest him.

Play the bench...find out if Billy and Steve can play.....give Big Jake some minutes......

Time to play the DEEP bench players.

That should've been done all year. You don't throw people in there with no concept of what to do at the last minute.

The coach is an idiot and he will be exposed. Going into the playoffs with no bench.
