I have never posted a trade suggestion thread, but I couldnt resist this one. Matt Harpring is the type of player that this Rox team needs who can knock down open shots, execute coach's play plan, play structure basketball. I think Utah might be interested in this trade, because they have Krilinko already, and the 2 guard is their weak position. What do you think.

I would like add .., since I cant use edit function
We can move posey to the 2 spot, play Harpring the 3 spot, Rice back him up. We also can strat playing Boki or Tito a little bit. Anyway, this team needs surgery, not a cosmetic one.

the worst thing in the world just might be Mobley on the JAZZ! UGH???

I hate the Jazz and some have pointed out that Mobley is a likeable person, who in many ways is the Rockets. I would absolutely hate Cat on the Jazz, so I'll say NO to the thought.

That has a significant Red-A$$ potential from the Rockets perspective. Harpring is good on the Jazz, and likely would not be as potent on the Rockets.

SG is our weakest position? Mobley is averaging 18 ppg and 3 apg. Yeah, there are teams who can't even get those #'s from 2 players at the SG position. Trade Cat for Harpring, a small foward? How anout no!!!!!!!!

The question is do we need him to jack up shots to average 18 ppg. He is an overlap of Steve. We need to focus on Ming and Franchise, and others should all be role players, and Matt Harpring is a darn good one. Posey can play 2, right? and it's not bad him playing 2, considering his size, and defense skill.

I think the oppsite. Harping is gonna be great on the Rox roster, since Ming is going to get double teamed, and he will get to be open. He also has ability to cut, timing was perfect in yesterday's game. Or ddid I say, he is an unselfish and SMART player.

My thought exactly. Utah runs such a disciplined offense. Why would they want an iso-oriented player like Cat?

IMO, Harpring is the perfect complement to any 2-star offense. Strong/aggressive player, plays off the ball, consistent-to-deadly outside shot, head always in the game - I think he'd fit well in any system, the kind of guy who it's easy to make better (whether it's Stockton/Malone or Francis/Yao).

However, speculation is futile. Utah would never do this, why remove a piece that fits perfectly? Also, between Rudy's loyalty to Cat and the fact that it's the Jazz, the Rockets wouldn't do it either.

Why do we always get these threads after a loss? Some player on the other team has a great game, or kills us with a dagger of a shot, and "Hey! Let's trade for the guy!!". No offence, but it's as predictable as death and taxes. And they would never do it, even if it made sense.

They're the Jazz. (tha ****ers  )

Seriously. I bet if the Jazz had won on an Ostertag dunk, people here would be begging the Rockets to trade Ming for him:p

Everytime we play a team, and they burn us, all of a sudden you guys, or us guys or whoever wants to trade for that particular player.

So if T.D , A.I., or Kidd made clutch shot against us, and their team prospose a trade, you are telling me you wont do it.
It's not becaue of the Hail Mary shot, I seriously think Harpring is going to make us better. I would seek after him from now if I were Rox manager.
I have never, ever posted a trade thread before.

We could have had him for free in the offseason, and I even had a thread suggesting that we get him.

I guess the Rocks don't want a better then 50% shooter on their team, who is really really smart.

Better to have a bunch of high jumping idiots running the show.
