Didn't Yao commit a foul on that dunk? I thought using a stiff arm to fend off a defender while driving is a automatic foul.

he didn't really use the stiff arm to fend off the defender, in a video on espn, he got by his defender and then only gently tapped the guy with the stiff arm but he didn't really need to since he got by him and was pretty much already at the rim. they called that a foul on him earlier cause he would make it real obvious before sometimes he would put his arm on the other guys neck. depends on how hard he uses the stiff arm also.

it was an Offensive foul, but it wasnt called. He get's called for it everynow and then. Calvin Murphy always mentions it (especially when Yao gets caught) in games. "He's gotta learn to keep that arm down on his spins. He doesnt need it out there."

All the superstars uses the off arm when making a spin move. Webber always does that. Most of the time they dont call a foul unless the other guy flops or act like hes being held.

Yeah, Yao's at a disadvantage though, when most players do it, their arms are usually around the waist or atleast below the chest of defensive players, and its really hard to catch and call in a live games situation. When Yao do, he gets them around their chest and up, and as a center, his spin isn't as fast as some of the fowards and guratds, which makes it looks a lot more obvious.
