    1: Steve Francis
    2: Cuttino Mobley
    3: Shane Betteir
    4: Mo Taylor
    5: Marc Jackson/Hakeem

I really think that we should try to get Shane in this years draft. He is not gonna be a superstar but he is just what we need. Great Defense, can shoot when needed(unlike Anderson), is a team player and a winner. I think he can become a really good role player like Tony Kukoc was with Chicago.
Marc Jackson can also help. He is alot like Mo Taylor but better rebounding. We'll have a very young team that will grow up to be the best in couple of years. Obviously, my first choice would be Webber but i like it this way too.

I think Battier will go in the first 10 picks. How about-

    Francis
    Cat
    J. Williams, J Johnson (Arkansas)
    Mo T
    Marc Jackson

    3. Tayshaun Prince(this guy is incredible)
    4. Taylor

No Marc Jackson. I mentioned in another thread what many Golden State fans and other BBS guys have said: Marc Jackson is not a true 5. He's not that good of a defender and rebounder. He'd be a good fit for the Rockets because he has range and size, but I don't think he'd give us much more than what we expect from Collier. He's NOT the defender in the middle we should replace Hakeem with when he is gone.

Don't get me wrong; I think Jackson's a good guy to have, but I don't think he's the answer for us either.

Are there any defensive centers in this years draft that might be obtainable for the Rockets?

if we don't make the playoffs, we can trade our pick (13), the bucks pick that they owe to us (say, 23), and rogers. i think we could get in the top ten with that package and select battier.

Jackson is a good rebounder but the rest of what you said is true. He is a power forward with range, he also is a good banger. His short comings are his short arms which like Kevin Willis prevents him from blocking a lot of shots. Also he is not that good at moving laterally so he isn't that great of a defender. He would be a nice fit for us if we got him at 3 million per, but that ain't happening.
