Jason Williams is coming back If we can free up a Roster spot, maybe sign him for the vet minimum, and insurance in case Brooks and Lowry struggle? DD
as long as he doesn't announce he is getting a season ending surgery to the biggest loudmouth in the media in order to FUDGE (for Ralphy) over a team that has overpaid him for years before a real decision has been made because he only cares about himself, I'm fine with it Man, I hate TMac so much now. Sorry. Sure, why not? Not a bad idea to have a veteran on the pine
i saw that earlier, but first he has to get clearance from the NBA because players usually have to wait a year to be reinstated...also, i guess the clips own his rights so they would have to decide what to do with him first. I like him though, might be a solid addition, but he can be streaky like rafer.
Man I remember when White Chocolate was a Pimp !!!!! He hasn't done much in a few Years DD but Hell at this point sign Chuck Nevitt !!!!!
I am not that serious as we don't have a roster spot, but if they drop someone.....or buy them out...say....Luther.......then they could sign him. DD
Ehhhhh, I don't know. There's a reason my buddy bestowed the nickname 'J-Will-Trash' upon him and that was in 2006.
Aren't his knees all jacked up? If we're going to get a vet for insurance and to be a mentor, why not Cassell? At least he's been around the game recently.
White Choc was one of my favorite players back in the day. I'd be all for giving him the shot he wants.. if it's vet min it can't hurt too much. Regardless of how you feel about our PG depth right now, what happens when (gulp) AB gets injured? It would be great to have Williams at the end of the bench. Cut Cook or Head. Cons, though, would be that he is a turnover liability and his FG and 3P %'s, once solid, have declined rapidly. He IS 6 years younger than Cassell... but it is a gamble, admittedly.
Similar situation, actually. The difference seems to be that Williams did show some flashes of game post-injury.
Williams' FG and 3PT %s were never good. He was arguably worse than Alston in those areas since his career FG% was only slightly better (39.6) while his career 3PT% was actually far worse (32.5). He was a good FT shooter, though.
surprise nobody mention he's another Adelman coached player The Kings, is our new Knicks to get former "coached" players
