Enough college football already. We all know that the most exciting two week period in all of sports is the tournament, because college basketball is just pure exciting (except for the zones). SO, who do you guys have as your preseason top teams, players, coaches, conferences, and freshman? And pick, really early, your NCAA champs. Im going to go with Seton Hall at the moment, although I know they dont have the experience to make it all the way through the tournament. ------------------ Remember.... College football is awesome! Especially with Texas primed to crush OU this weekend! Don't say we've had enough! On topic, at this point I like Arizona to win the national title. They had an excellent young team next year, and with the top center in the nation Loren Woods back healthy, I think they will be even better. With another year to gel for an extremely young team and Woods back in the lineup, at this point I think they'll be your national champs. Duke and North Carolina both will be close though. ------------------ Looking for next year's Dan Langhi? Draftsource.net ClutchTown.com http://www.noarena.NET (a MUST read for Rocket fans!) OU SUCKS!!!
Notre Dame will be in the NCAA tourney this year and Troy Murphy will be awesome. Junior forward Troy Murphy is listed as the second-leading vote-getter for the Naismith award. Sept. 26, 2000 NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- Notre Dame junior forward Troy Murphy (Morristown, N.J.) is listed as the second-leading vote-getter (among the 30 preseason candidates announced) behind Duke University's Shane Battier for the 2000-01 Naismith College Basketball Player of the Year Award presented by the Atlanta Tipoff Club. Murphy, the reigning BIG EAST Player of the Year, averaged 22.7 points and 10.3 rebounds a year ago. He was the first player in league history to lead the conference in both scoring and rebounding in the same season and was the only player nationally to rank in the top 10 in both categories. A first-team consensus All-American, Murphy finished 10th in scoring and ninth in rebounding. Murphy also is listed as one of the leading preseason candidates for the John R. Wooden Award. The Naismith Award, now in its 33rd year, honors the outstanding college basketball player in the United States. The award program was founded by the Atlanta Tipoff Club, an organization dedicated to recognizing the achievements of student-athletes in basketball. ------------------ In order to be a success in life, you need 2 things: 1.
