He will be a free agent after this season, so why not persue him? I know he isn't the same guy when he was with us, but the guy can still shoot the 3 and play some D. And he isn't as injury prone as Glen Rice, so the guy will contribute. We need a veteren like him on our team, with his playoff and championship experience, how our young guys how it's done. He has mentioned before that he would like to be back in Houston to be with his daughter, so he would be a good signing that shouldn't be too expensive. What do you all think?

Yeah, they just said that at the end of the Lakers game. He was always the guy to coast through the season and turn it on in the playoffs. Problem is that didn't happen this year. He's pretty much through. Mabye if he signs for minimum and we haven't addressed our need for an experienced PF to stabalize the front court. Probably not even then. He's a decent defender and has been passing up wide open shots he used to take because he knows he doesn't have it anymore.

if he wants to sign for the 1.5 mill vet exception, then sure, he can replace TMo.

But he isn't worth using the 4.5 mill MLE, and isn't worth trading for either.

The Rockets have a history of taking on Over the Hill players [Rice] is the most recent. If we need to gain more experience on our Roster then select a player that can contribute to our Game and earn respect from our current players. If you were watching the LAL v SA then you know that Robert Horry is not going to help our Team.

I rather see Robert Horry on the moon before I see him in a Rocket's uniform. Talk about bringing back the dead. Any other brilliant ideas flowing around in the cranial cavity of yours? We can and will do better than this.

It's amazing now that Robert Horry suddenly sucks just because he had one bad playoff.

Gimme a break. The Rockets need a veteran who symbolizes playoff success. Robert Horry is that. He also plays good defense. Horry could also use a fresh start.

He would be a good fit because of the presence of Yao Ming.

Yetti, I saw every game of this series and just because Horry didn't have it this year doesn't mean he is over the hill.

Horry is more valuable than Glen Rice, he can actually play defense, he can actually hit a clutch shot, where as Rice rarely does, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, Horry is a good passer unlike any of our current Rocket players.

2002-2003 was his 11th year in the NBA. he has around 3-4 good years left in him.

I think L.A. is going to resign him though.

The last thing we need is another player that likes to cruise during the regular season. We need some good players that play good during the whole season bringing in somebody who only known for his great play during the playoffs will not help our cause in reaching the post season. I love Rob He was a big part of the championship teams in 94 and 95 but thats all in the past. I appreciate his contributions towards the rockets but I dont want to see him in a rocket uniform.

I wouldnt surprise him to see him in one however since he is so loved here Les etc..just might make it happen

    No Horry.

    WHY?
    1. Over the hill
    2. Old
    3. His games has left him
    4. Even his defense is no good anymore

Just 1 bad playoffs? What about 10 mediocre regular seasons?

Horry's best asset is clutch playoffs performance. But how do we need Horry's clutch playoffs performance when we can't even make the playoffs? This team is not going for the championship any time soon, you know.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Signing Horry would give Rudy yet another excuse to not play guys like T. Mo and Boki. They need PT and experience next year.

Not to mention that Horry sucks.

I think Horry is going to retire because of his daughter's illness. He said he actually wanted for the team not to pick up the option on his last year.

Horry hasn't been a good player for a long time. Only sign him if he's dirt, dirt, dirt cheap.
