well how about it? in sheed, you will get the best allround power --forward in the game, and in DA you will get a top notch swingman.in return all we ask for is the little something called the #1 pick, we'll even take rice and cato's contracts off you're hand :( ;)

In Sheed, the Rockets get another PF to add to the glut, and no Sheed cannot play C. In Anderson, the Rockets get another shooting guard. Anderson is not a SF in today's NBA. Not a bad offer, but it doesn't fill any needs.

i think sheed can play center. but im not sure we need the top two nba leaders in techs on the same team. patterson replacing anderson would be a nice fit a sf considering he allways hurts us.

overall im not sure it would work.

what if we throw in DD, instead of DA? dale actually out performed every center in the west beside shaq, last season ( but who out plays shaq?) i mean he could be very handy for you guys?.

actually anderson , did play some SF for us last season and was suprisingly effective ( considering he's only 6'5). and on ming if you go by what walton says( which i try not to do ) he says ming, is the real deal and has urged the blazers to make a play for him, knowing trader bob, you can be sure he'll do everything possible to make a play for him.:)

yeah he did against LA in the first round of the playoffs.the blazers did start DD at center but played more with sheed at center, we played a smaller lineup and sheed thrived in the lineup( he avge 26 points 12 boards)

    C:sheed

    PF:patterson ( yes patterson)

    SF:DA

    SG: bonzi

    PG: pippen )

    Does Rasheed have any value?

Seriously, the guy is a problem, and if I was gm/coach, I wouldn't want him on my team.

IMO, including Rasheed is a dealbreaker. He's evil.

rasheed, is the most talented power forward in the game ( ok i'm biased but it's true ) he can do it all, but you maybe right he's temper will allways hinder he's value.

Rasheed Wallace has a Player Option and can not be part of a draft day trade.

In order for this unlikely trade to occur two things must both happen:

    1) The Rockets must pick and hold the rights to but not sign the draft pick the Blazers want until after #2 below.

    2) Rasheed excercises his option to remain in Portland.

Very miniscule chance of this trade occuring..especially since the Blazers are getting robbed!

Hmm...most talented power forward, huh?...You might want to check out that Duncan fellow...better rebounder, better post player, better shot blocker, smarter.

I'm in the Ming corner, but that might be an offer that's too good to refuse.

Wallace gets too much criticism for the Blazers struggles. Yes, he consistently leads the league in technicals, but he's on a shorter leash than most players with officials, and he doesn't exactly have the most cooperative teammates. Scottie Pippen is Scottie Pippen. Bonzi Wells is classless. Ruben Patterson is a rapist. Dale Davis looks like a thug in the last season. Damon Stoudamire might be going to jail. In the second half of the season, I actually saw Wallace stepping in and keeping his teammates in check.

I'm not trying to say he's ever going to win a sportsmanship award, but put him in a better clubhouse and a more positive atmosphere, and I think some of his problems go away. It's at least worth Rudy calling him on the phone, to gauge his attitude. Physically, Rasheed is one of the most gifted players in the game. He can play inside and outside, has a virtually unblockable turnaround (both baseline and to the middle), and has outstanding wingspan. The only center he can't match up with is Shaq, but there's not really anyone who can.

I'm not sure if DA is the second player I'd want in the deal, but if the second player is of comparable quality, I'd definitely be interested. I think a scenario like this would be a lot like the Elton Brand trade last year-- as much as Ming has the potential to revolutionize the game, is it worth passing up one of the best post players in the game? I'm still in the Ming corner, unless we get an unreal offer, but I think this might be one of those. However, I can't really see Portland's reasoning for doing this either, especially with Portland a less attractive city for Ming.

In a Portland deal- how about our #1 pick, Glen "G Money " Rice, and Kelvin Cato for Bonzi Wells, Ruben Boumtje Boumtje, and the #1 pick next year and #1 in 2004?

We get rid of Garbage- get 1 very good player (not all star) in Wells, a big body with heart, plus 2 future #1 picks

    What do you think??

we can't give up cato without getting a center but i'd give up the #1 + rice + collier for wallace and patterson. KT might have to replace collier but then we might be getting the raw end.

    - i doubt blazers would do it
    - sheed + collier as C and mo + griff at PF = soft soft front court
    - this is settling for mediocricy - it will not bring us to the finals.

If Rasheed wanted to play center, how come he didn't do it when J. O'Neal was there? It made more sense for him to play the 5 and O'Neal the 4 to be able to get both on the court and let Sabonis or come off the bench, but guess what ? These guys are heartless and scared to death of Shaq, plain and simple. Thats why i respect Zo more than a lot of these wimps and Shaq probably does too. He doesn't flop, plays tough even though he is smaller in height and length to some of these guys.
