Horace Grant waived by the Magic

If there were a way of moving MoT out of here, would you think Ho Grant would be a good free agent choice? The guy has alot of play-off experience and has played with alot of different guys. I love his defense and the guy can hit open jumper after open jumper. One of the main concerns with the Rockets was play-off experience and IMO he would be a great pick up. The guy would be playing at Vet. minimum too so it wont break the bank ballance. What do ya'll think?

He would definitely bring some leadership qualities, some rebounding off the bench and he can play defense. His problem is that he is always injured. Add that to the fact that Orlando decided to keep Shawn Kemp in favor of Grant, and there has to be something else to his release.

The man is older than I am. Let him slink off into retirement off the court, as he has been retired on it for years.

Glen Rice's ring is big enough for the other 14 Rockets to gawk at...the Rox don't need any more vets to chew up playing time. It has a trickle down effect...minutes for Ho Grant at PF means more Small Forward PT for EG and KT which translates into zip PT for Boki. Let's get our experience the old-fashioned way - earn it...in the playoffs. :)

If we truly need more vets in the locker room, pay Dream to hang out with the team...he would be a lot cheaper than Grant and would not count against the cap.

But don't let him sit on the bench or he'll be calling for the ball. :D

lets not get too stupid! No ex Bulls on this team please! Besides that he is too old for this team,we need young players that can develop with us for at least 5 or 6 years.

He's getting on in age, and we don't need him. The Rox should play together for a coupla seasons and see how they fare in the playoffs. Let them get playoff experience that way.. together. Adding somebody new (not to mention old) would be a waste, especially these couple of seasons. And our pf spot will be just fine, just wait a see.

No, bring another PF??? Plus the guy has passed his prime, and is not 100%. Think, why he is waived?
