I think they're talking about the pick we are to receive for trading them Bryce Drew.... but it will ultimately be 2 second rounders probably rather than a first...
The general theme of the trade terms were that if Bryce Drew make Chicago a playoff or near playoff team, Chicago will send the Rocks the a first round pick. In the probable case that Chicago is not a playoff team soon, they will send the Rocks two second draft choices, at their discretion during a time window (like the next five years or so).
Close. The pick is about top-20 protected till around 2005. If it hasn't been conferred by then, the Bulls must give us 2 second-rounders. I'm not sure if it is their own in '05 and their own in '06 or if they can give us anybody's #2s or what. But they don't have a big window on the second rounders.
Krause has been trying like crazy to close this deal because it prevents him from trading his draft picks before the season has ended. So far the Rocks look like they just want to wait till '05
