    Fox 26 (I think Keith Calkins) is also doing something on the Rockets today, specifically with Ming and Rudy T. Berman said they were in Canada yesterday, I suppose that's where the China National team is working out?

    Nothing new... very weak segment. Chinese coach would not let the players be interviewed. Huge neck on that guy though (Yao Ming).


    You know what they say about guys with big necks.............?

    Not much. Footage of the Chinese team arriving at the airport and their hotel in Canada. Yao Ming agreed to speak "for a moment," but then one of the coaches came and sent the camera crew away. Apparently the Chinese National Team policy is 24 hours together before anyone speaks to the media.

    Why did they even show it then? It sounded like they had a scoop or something. Maybe they'll get something later. :confused:

    Maybe they just wanted to show something for the money they spent for tickets and stuff.

    Ah, channel 2 - the worst local news on television. Their new motto should be "Simply Unwatchable."

    That sounds very much like they sent someone to Canada thinking they would be the only station in town to go and get some exclusive but they didn't do their homework and got nothing. What a shock. They are horrible.

    He's not in Houston. He's in Vancouver.

    And, tozai, NOTHING is worse than channel 2. If you mean the CBS National News, no arguments, but, for local news, you don't get much sillier than KPRC "where local news comes first." :rolleyes:

    Is MacCulloch playing for Canada? Yao better dominate him!

    i'm pretty sure he doesn't have to be in the U.S. to sign a contract...it's just a matter if he and his representatives have time to deal with contract issues while over there...

    As far as sports coverage, Fox 26 news@9 is by far the leader in sports coverage. And the sportscasters all got their own unique personalities. Marc Berman, the all-business, get-down-to-it dude with all the inside info. Keith Calkins, the wacky guys who makes weak jokes but still manages to grab your attention, and...what's the black guy's name??? He's cool too. Very personable.
