I have visited Yildizars on Kirby for sometime, after a few bad visits, I stopped going. Today, I decided to go with a friend for lunch.

Yildizars has a good falafel and I like them, but they have introduced something new. A gyro. This gyro is truly, IMHO, one of the best gyro's I've had in a long time!! The pita bread is thick and soft, the onions and tomatoes, cut small and bite site, the tzatziki sauce (white) is really good and the gyro mystery meat is very tasty! I was so impressed that I actually told the manager how good it was. I will definately add Yildizar's back to my weekly lunch time routine! Try their new gyro's it's good stuff and for the vegetarians, the falafel can't be beat! They offer a lunch special with a sandwich and 1 side for an extra 1.99, I had the roasted potatoes, very good and spicy! Try them!

    rH,

Have you ever tried the gyro from Niko Niko's? (The best imho) If so, how does this compare?

I hate it when Greek restaurants make you buy a "gyro plate" (with fries, etc.) for $7.00 instead of just a gyro for like $3.50. I asked the manager of the place my house if I can buy just a gyro and was told no. If I remember right, Niko Niko's is like that too.

I think it's as good or better than Nikos²
and at Yildizar you can purchase just the sandwich ($4.49)
