Believe it or not I actually think we might match up better against the Jazz this year minus even without Yao. Yao just got KILLED last year by Boozer. Scola should be able to put a body and man up on Boozer. Missing Rafer isn't that big of a deal b/c Williams will kill any of our PGs. Just have to somewhat keep him in check. Landry can help match up with their athletic guys which we didn't have last year. Tmac still owns "Cry"alinko. Lets get it done this year boys!
I'm just glad it's not the Spurs. Right now they are spanking the Jazz at halftime by 65-39. As usual, the playoffs come around and the real Spurs show up. they might be older and beatable, but I would rather not face them in the first round. Now, time to spank the Jazz. Revenge time.
Had we won we would have had no shot at facing the Spurs, it would have been Phoenix or Utah, all with HCA.
I would be ecstatic if we beat the Jazz, but they have a big edge in talent and experience. It will be a tough series for the Rockets.
Without Yao I think this is 50/50....to me it all depends on whether Tmac finds his shot...... This is a good matchup for us...especially with Utah's crap 17-24 road record....hopefully we win the first 2 and then steal one in Utah and win in five. DD
I hate to agree with you but your right ! They have so much talent but hey ! You gotta beat everyone in this league to be the Champs !!
Defending home court will be the key of this series. We have to take the first two games of the series.
Tmac is less healthy and more sluggish than he was last year. If we play the young players they are prone to mistakes. If we don't play them, we have a bunch of dinosaurs. Bobby Jackson can't give you 40 productive minutes. We'll miss Rafer. I'll be happy if we win one game
ITS PRETTY SIMPLE, WE CAN NOT LOSE A HOME GAME. BOBBY JACKSON, SCOLA, BROOKS, AND LANDRY WILL BE THE DIFFERENCE FROM THIS YEAR AND LAST. I CANT STAND ANOTHER YEAR OF HEARING 1ST ROUND CRAP.
more like houston vs. utah part deux. man, let's not think too hard about this people...houston will beat the jazz because we're tired of them having some type of "NBA one-up" on us. It's time for houston to taste some different blood in the playoffs. this is a more "let's get this series over with" match up to me. Yay, the jazz made it to the western conf finals last year but this is the least exciting match-up for the rockets.
