Well, earlier tonight I'm cleanin' out my closet (I said I'm sorry mama) and I come across just two boxes of the various crap I 'collected' from my times in Houston. I figured since I had notihng else to do, I might as well look through some boxes before I leave this fall. What I found was mostly newspaper articles that I saved for their headlines, as well as other stuff, some of which is pictured in the link below: http://www.ofoto.com/Welcome.jsp e-mail: samthejew@comcast.net password: photos EDIT: feel free to add your own stuff if yo ulike; create a new album or whatever first album is the one. second i can't delete. oh well. Now, while some of it is crap, most of it I felt would be of interest to y'all. I have bunches of other crap too that I need to dispose of somehow, but feel I just can't toss them due to not necessarilly monetary value of weeks old SI for Kids issues, but reference or even sentimental value somehow. For instance, my dad once found stacks and stacks of original Sports Illustrated (including the first issue) out in a street about to be disposed of. And yes, I would get my 'collecting' (more like saving everything) gene from my father. Newspapers are everywhere in this house... Anyway, most interesting thing I found (besides FINALLY finding my Biggio auotographed bat; neat that I got it too ) was this: That's the 6-day special section of The Dream from the Post back in '94. As you can tell, I 'digitally remastered' it, quickly that is. and there's also a Barkley Blast Off magazine on that terrible image hosting site that automatically resized my images (I wasn't going to waste my personal server space). It's autographed, but I don't know if it's him. And I honestly don't know how I got it. The Championship hat is signed by all the Rockets. I wish; actually I just need about 12 more players... Turbo, Bill Worrell, Calvin, Elie, Jim Foley, and Gene Peterson signed it. The other autographs are a Rockets schedule with Antoine Carr during his last year with the Jazz. He did some post-game interview and was going back to the locker room at the Summit and that's the only piece of paper I could find that he could sign. Yes, that's Russ Johnson (from media day). Yes, that's Kevin Eschensenfdgfg45gdfg,leder from HSE, then Prime Sports, then FSN. Short story behind that. Then I have a Continental Airlines pamphlet with someone's signature but I don't know who. Sorry for the poor image quality; I can't figure out the close-range option on that Cybershot. Crap I'm looking to get rid of includes stacks of old Sports Illustrated for Kids (from 96ish-98ish) too many ESPN mags, countless other crap. Want it? Oh, the best things I found were two tapes. One I didn't actually find, but I know I have it somewhere. That tape (audio) was game 1 of the '95 finals. The tape I did find and listened to tonght was game 7 of the '94 finals. It was awesome! I'm looking to dub it into digital quality, but I guess I don't have the best equipment. I have a digital Sony IC recorder, but I don't think there are cables from one devide to the other. I know there are expensive dubbing machines and I could also go to a pro if I wanted. I'll look into it. Btw, this is what my summer is like; staying up 'til 4 and wkaing up at 3 each day, barely getting outside.
