Hello everyone, Seeing in what critical situation we are, and seeing how everybody is stressed and worried about our horrible game, I thought a thread slightly different from all our "lets kick him in the butt" threads wouldn't hurt. So this idea came to me after watching the video that tinman posted on Hakeem making Robinson "bamboozled". I thought, hey! we don't have any threads with all the greatest moments of the Rockets, there greatest pictures, videos and plays. And they I figured this was the best time to rememorate how great our organization is. I mean, the Bulls have been living in the nostalgia of Jordan for years, we can have some to! So how would I like this thread to look like? Well, I think that it's important to have a ressource, a treasure chest, a place where you can go, and just see all the videos, pictures of the best Rockets moments. You can post anything you like, from Olajuwon's game tip winner to Tracy's 13 pts in 30 seconds. I'd like this thread to be like the Photoshop thread, full of pictures and videos we can just watch when we are nostalgic of the good times... So, get your memory working and post the best archives you have of your favorite Rockets moments! fredv (I think DD contaminated me in signing my posts)
This isn't a thread about TRACY LAMAR MCGRADY! God go do that on other threads you have like 25 dedicated to that already!
I am making this one my choice. The Rockets were suppose to be next years team and the Show Time Lakers were the favorites to win but the Rockets entered game four with a 3 - 0 lead of what was a very emotioinal series. The Rockets trailed the whole game on the Lakers home court. Tempers flaired and Akeem was tossed from the game. Ralph Sampson became the Rockets option with one second left in the game and trailing by 1 point. The rest is history.

[NBA] What Are Your Greatest Moments In Rockets History? http://www.nba.com/rockets/news/we_need_your_help_contemplati_2009_08_31.html
Kiss of Death (1995) Game 7 vs. Knicks (1994) Kenny/Olajuwon's buzzer beaters vs. Orlando Game 1(1995) Eddie Johnson's shot (1997) Hakeem Demolition of Robinson (1995) Sampson at the Buzzer (1986) Game 3 Upset of Lakers on way to Finals (1981) Yao/Shaq first Regular Season Game (2003) Rockets over Knicks to go 15-0 to start the season (1993) The streak (2008) McGrady 13 in 35 (2004) Granted - that's 11 moments, but I think that about covers all the bases.
You coverd all the main ones, but just for memory sake I would like to add some more... Drexlers last few mins against the Jazz, game 5 in 1995 Sam Cassels game 2 1995 NBA Finals Horry's 3 pointer at the end of Game 3 of the 95 NBA Finals Hakeems game 3 Spin move and Ewing 94 Finals
Notable: Dream and Clyde each scored 40+ points in a playoff game, I believe. Novak's last second three. Dream blocks Starks. Yao behind the back. Defeating Lakers in games 4 and 6 while severely shorthanded.
