LOL, these dudes look 17 years old, banging on some drums, deafenin' the crowd in attendence... I wonder how much their contract to do all the introductions and in-game peps is for, probably a few thousand I'd imagine... And whats up with their wardrobe? Their faces/heads are silver? Are they trying to look cultic?

I believe they are stealing the Blue Man Group's theme. :)

I would guess they are probably younger than 17. Personally, I am scared of them. Can't quite put my finger on it.

It's my understanding one of them is 26, makes major bucks for each performance.

IMO, it would be a heck of a lott better if they brought back the old intro...

    All right, Houston! On...your...feet! And prepare...for a rockets lift-off!

    5...4...3...2...1...

Man that was so awesome and it really brought the crowd to its feet. I'd like to see that happen, but then again I'd love to hear ANYTHING else besides this crummy drums gig....so booorring:eek:

I've met every one of them and they are cool as ****. They're all over 22 I'd say. The NBA was so enamored with them and their efforts that they will be doing the introduction for the Western Conference AllStars. Lay off them. They're cool.

I personally like the drummers, but if I were to offer constructive criticism, it would be to cut the drumming out of the entrance areas. I went to a game the other day with my son and all the noise make it quite disconcerting.

As the pregame startup, though, I think that they are great.

They are pretty good. I just wish they would cut back on some of the drumming when we are on offense. Especially in the fourth quarter.

Just a side note...you guys are so much better than the band at Rice. You jam and play more than just Louie Louie. Now TSU's band that plays at their games might give you guys some competition. Their horns are wicked.

I can stand them. They are OK. Age discrimination!

Well the intros for other arenas aren't that great either.

Does anyone have a good idea for an intro?

I dig them, i think its pretty cool, and something different. That ready houston for lift off was so cheesy! Goes right along with the jerseys i guess.

they aren't that great. on the bridge (is that what you call it) of the beat that they play they get out of sync, don't play in unison, so it sounds really muddled and off-beat.

the league wants them more for their energy and flash, less for their talent.

    Cool. In the arena.

On the air they sound like they are drumming to an empty house. It is upsetting to hear.

They make the broadcast start horribly. Yet, I've Liked them Live!

Let me say that I really like them, and I think it would be neat if they would maybe go with different beats from time to time. By they are cool, they came by and spoke to us at a game and they are pretty cool guys.

    I HATE the-
Left side:"HOUSTON" --- Right side: "ROCKETS"

But that is in no way on them, that is the work of the people in charge of production. That is almost as bad as the little guy who ran around last year saying "1-2-3 go Rockets"

    PS-

Remember the alternative is "Alllllllllll rrrrriiight Houuuuuuustonnn... onnnnnnn your feet..." That was terrible!!!!

At least the old intro, fans actually stood up and cheered. I went to the T-Wolves and I felt like I was the only one standing up during intros. As soon as the drummers begin playing the entire arena seems to go quite. I say get rid of the drummers and do something else. They don't work.

Don't bet on the "major bucks" part.

I still would like to renew my call to get those damn drums tuned on a regular basis. It was suggested to me that it is just the heads and maybe the quality of the drums, but that isn't it. I've been in this business for almost 20 years and NOTHING makes drums sound good like having them well tuned and the average drummer can't do it very well.

Anyway, I personally love the drum thing. Anything that pays local LIVE musicians to do what they love is absolutely fine by me. Plus, just about anything is better than crappy canned dance music.
