We're adding a blog this season to ClutchFans. It's not completed yet, but we're launching an early version today so I can post the videos and information I pick up from training camp.

    <a href="http://rockets.clutchfans.net">Houston Rockets Blog</a> at rockets.clutchfans.net

There are currently three stories (and videos) up there:

<LI><a href="http://rockets.clutchfans.net/98/scola-believes-rockets-need-to-return-to-defensive-identity/">Scola believes Rockets need to return to defensive identity</a>
    <LI><a href="http://rockets.clutchfans.net/77/rick-adelman-yao-ming/">Adelman keeping Yao expectations in check</a>
    <LI><a href="http://rockets.clutchfans.net/65/houston-rockets-courtney-lee/">A few questions for Courtney Lee</a>

I've been considering this for a few years and put it off, but I think this will help me and others get more content out there.

Commenting directly on the posts is currently disabled while this is being test run. However, before the season starts, you will be able to log in directly with your BBS accounts and post. I just wanted to turn that off for now so it wasn't people putting whatever name in there (meaning someone else posting with someone else's "name" from the board).

Feedback is certainly welcome. I'll post more late this afternoon after today's practice.

I agree with you, Clutch. I believe this format (blog) is better.

I read that the Rox are now in Austin for training camp. I think I remember that last year when they came to Austin, they were having their camp at UT. Were they at UT this time? I'm curious if/how they were effected by the shooter on campus today.

My wife (at work) and son (at daycare) were both up there on campus initially. But luckily they were able to leave and both made it home safely. I now know there were no casualties except for the shooter, but just curious if this whole incident interrupted any of the camp.

Judging by all the UT banners in the background, it was at UT. Not sure where it is exactly, but they held preactice today according to Feigen.

    Jonathan Feigen via twitter
"UT campus locked down, classes canceled. Rockets training camp goes on. Team boarding bus as scheduled"

    Very nice. Thank you.

Are these your own videos, or someone else's videos? I am asking because you write, take photos and do the site maintenance... seems like you might need help.

I am not volunteering, btw, but I am certainly opening the discussion for some peeps to step up. Is that not something you'd look into?

    Cool, a blog huh?

    Very nice.

Will there still be front page stories, and how will the blog be different?

Either way, it is a heck of an addition....1 star !!!...err....5 stars.

Surreal day at Texas today. The campus was shut down after a shooting and the bustling campus looked abandoned for hours, even after the all clear came at about noon. The Rockets, however, never noticed the difference. They arrived at the practice facility at the usual time, walked in and started practice. There were no signs of the police force, SWAT teams, and media a few blocks away.
