I'm hoping they bring in Carter if they haven't secretly done so already. I'm hearing rumors of him destroying workouts.
Moving back to take Carter would be genius if we got something of significant value to do it. Will be interesting to see how high he goes, I think he goes in the top 10.
3 weeks out and not a peep? I just dont get the harm in letting people know you interviewed a bunch of people in the top 10 that everybody else is interviewing and working out.
Maybe nobody wants to play for Houston and are refusing to come down? Oh wait, Silas is no longer here.
The rumor is that he's got a promise from a lottery team, which kind of came out of nowhere because most had him as a mid first round pick before that, but I'm guessing there's a team out there who fell in love with the measurables and he does project to be a very good defensive role player probably off the bench.
I know next to nothing about this guy. Can he shoot? If he is a slam dunk as a + defender and a good 3 point shooter I can see why people would be excited.
He improved his shooting last season after Providence's best player went out with injury. No reason to think he wouldn't continue to do so.
I haven't taken a super deep dive into his film but from what I've seen he should be a serviceable shooter at the NBA level. The knock on him is that his shooting can be streaky and it wasn't his his first 2 years in college but looked better in year 3. He's also 6'2 and not at all a point guard because he lacks the playmaking so he's a tweener. On the bright side he's a high energy player with plus defense. I could see him being a more explosive stronger Patrick Beverley with a lesser 3 point shot.
