Memorial High: Staying Classy As Ever With The Stratford Rivalry

    By Richard Connelly in Edumacation,

    FootballTue., Oct. 6 2009 @ 2:12PM

Memorial High, the west-side bastion of education for suburbanites, is riling up the women at the website Jezebel.

    And with good reason.

Someone sent the site a t-shirt apparently produced for their annual game with Stratford: It features two horses (Memorial's teams are the Mustangs) having sex with a woman wearing a fairy or elf costume. What that has to do with the Stratford Spartans, we're not sure, but in case the message isn't clear the shirt reads "Memorial Towers Over Stratford: F'n Spartans Up Since 1962." (Update: We're told the elf-like attire is what Stratford cheerleaders wear. So that's nice.)

The lithe blonde woman pictured, in case you don't want to click through to the link, is orally servicing one horse while getting it doggie-style from the other. (It sounds so much more classier when you describe it.)

Spring Branch ISD spokesman Steven Brunsman was completely unaware of the shirt, or any controversy that might be attached to it, until we sent him the link from Jezebel.

He said he'll see what he can find out -- whether it's just a single shirt, or something that the school or other officials are aware of and have punished, etc.

All I know is... that is not school-appropriate anywhere.

Maybe they picked it up from all the sex ads in the Houston Press.

i went to klein oak and one year our rival klein coined the phrase "Choke the Oak!" as their homecoming slogan. so naturally, one of our artistically inclined students at klein oak drew up his own take on their motto for our homecoming tshirt... a klein cheerleader on her knees s'ing the d of a klein oak football player with the slogan "Choke this Oak"

went over fantastically with the student body... the faculty.... not so much. pretty sure he got a hefty suspension for that, but it was definitely worth it. the shirts were everywhere.

I think it is hilarious, and yes I would have one when I was in HS, or college.

610 was talking about the rivalry earlier, invited students & alumni to comment and recollect. I think the shirt is fantastic. I hope nobody gets in trouble. No individual was specifically targeted. People that get their panties in a wad over vulgarity annoy me.

    F*** Memorial! Go Spartans! :D

It doesn't go well on the Stratford side of things but I can understand I would support it if I went to Memorial or if Stratford did something similar.

As a former Memorial student, I find this shirt hilarious. Stratford can suck it.

I saw something very similar when I was down in Mexico... Is that where they got the idea from? Great show by the way, they even topped it off with raffle tickets where you could win prizes...

Nothing says good-natured trash talk like producing a shirt in which another school's mascot is being sexually abused.

That being said, I doubt those horse c***s are to scale.

If teenage boys really strive to "Eiffel Tower" girls these day, I am insisting that my daughters are trained to kill by age 13.
