This quote from Morey makes me respect him more. Just the whole knowing the history thing.

    (Re: Deron Williams)
"You go back to the days of when Houston beat Phoenix in the ‘90s. Rudy chose to let Kevin Johnson be the guy who goes nuts and basically guarded everybody else, and [that strategy] helped win the series. So you can’t stop everything. You’re always just trying to move them into the offense that is the least effective."

Takes me back to a conversation I had with Carroll Dawson before the season: CD kept talking about how important it was to him and Les Alexander that Daryl be willing to become a "true Rocket" and bleed Rockets red. And it's comments like the one you highlighted which make it seem certain that Morey has accepted the challenge by embracing this franchise and its tradition wholeheartedly.

    Thanks for reading.

Enjoyed, as always. But, as occasionally, I disagree:

The results might be delicious. They might even be disastrous. But either way, it will be a helluva lot of fun to watch.

If the Jazz somehow manage to thwart the basketball gods and defeat mine Rox then it would not be a helluva lot of fun to watch.
