Positively, this draft may turn out very intresting to all. Rudy wants to move up in the draft and get a starter for next season, we just need a couple of pieces. If we get Webber(PF) and Battier(SF)we are set.

Yeah Battier would be a nice fit. But we still will need a center.

05/25-HOUSTON ON A BIG MAN QUEST- The Rockets have begun working out big men, having seen 'Nova's Michael Bradley, and Ohio State big man Ken Johnson at the top of the week, and recently saw Kansas' Eric Chenowith and 'Zona big man Loren Woods. Its been no secret that the Rockets covet a big man, with the pending free agency demands of Hakeem Olajuwon, and the failure of Kelvin Cato, the Rocket know they need a new center in a big way. This has not stopped them from coveting Shane Battier or Eddie Griffin, as the Rockets have explored moving up as all of the top 3 selections in the draft are for sale for the right price. The emerging news is that Dan Fegan, the recently hired agent for Hakeem has bantered around the number $10 million a season, and the Rockets have no desire to come anywhere close to that number. Sources close to the team say the team is genuinely interested in returning the Dream for as long as he'd like to continue playing, but they are not prepared to meet that kind of price range, and have said Hakeem at best is worth $2.5-$5 million per season, depending on what Patrick Ewing fetches from Miami and what Dikembe Mutombo lands from Philly. Hakeem has made no secret that he will explore his value, and that he is not prepared to take less than value. Most league sources feel Hakeem could fetch the median exception ($4.25 million) from a number of teams looking for size and veteran leadership, and if the Rockets won't meet that price, The Dream may be elsewhere next season.
