I don't live in Houston now but when I did Houston was one of the last places I expected to see Light Rail. I live in Minneapolis and we are opening a line in April. From reading some of the criticism on the previous light rail threads here we are having the same arguments. Now that light rail is running in Houston I'm wondering what to expect when it starts in Minneapolis. So what do Houstonians think of LRT. Do you like it and plan on riding it or do you hate it and don't plan on using it and why?
it has been rehashed again and again. I think it is too expensive and will do too little to help traffic and will benefit too few of the Houston Area residents. Other feel exactly opposite.
Yes I saw your thread and comented on it. I'm just trying to get a broader range of reactions to it now that its running.
So far it looks like 70% of those who have polled plan on using light rail in Houston. Of course this poll doesn't even a good statistical sampling even for Clutch City so keep those votes coming.
it won't be part of my daily transportation...but i will use it. i may be saying goodbye to my $15 texan parking pass.
