I believe that Houston can no longer be nick-named clutchcity not only because the rockets can never pull out a victory in the last seconds, but the astros and texans as well. the astros lose out of the playoffs by one game, and the texans lost like 7 games by less than 3 points. I'm sorry, but we aren't clutchcity anymore.
You must be itching to enter "the ring of fire!" It won't be as simple as "Nemo" had it. Put on the asbestos undies.
I don't think people should use the term "Clutchcity" when describing this Houston Rockets team either. It's kind of like how they kept playing the old Oilers fight song from the Bum Phillips, Earl Campbell, luv ya blue days during at all of the Oiler games until they left. It's a different era and doesn't really fit. Clutchcity will always be thought of as Rudy and Hakeem to me.
just some food for thought... are we 'clutch'fans anymore? i dont if we are or if we aren't... any comments?
Steve only had 18/11/6 tonight... what a horrible game... we should trade him for Jamal Crawford or Andre Miller or Gilbert Arenas so we'll have a "true point guard." Why are most of the posters on here grass is always greener guys?
well, your just the type of Rockets fan that looks just straight at the stat line. you have to look beyond the numbers and realize that Francis does not have the attributes that a PG should have. He's not a good passer, a true point guard NEVER dribbles at much as he does. Andre Miller would be a much better fit for this team than Francis. and, i'm not sure you've noticed this either, but Francis is having more difficulty blowing by his defender on isolation plays this year, thus his under 40% FG percentage for the season.
What a stupid thread. When's the last time anybody actually said Clutchcity anyway? How can you mandate that people stop doing something that isn't even being done. uhpikapp64, you are like the last person to come to the conclusion that this isn't Clutchcity anymore.
