RH - do you work for the Houstonist?

I'm in my last year of my four-year BA-English. Looking to go into Sports Journalism. I'd rather stay in Canada, but wouldn't mind looking at other opportunities.

I can think of a couple... SlickVick69... and some other ones in the GARM...

    Would this have to be a FULL-TIME, on-location or in-the-office job? I wonder... :( I couldn't hold 2 full-time jobs... :(

    done, check yours.

I do "work" for the Houstonist, but it's all on a volunteer basis. The opportunity here is to "work" with a great group of people and and a really cool website. Plus every once in a while we get together for a few beers. It's really about wanting to be part of a community.

It's a work from home kinda thing. It's on a volunteer basis, but you would have to make at least two sports posts a week, minimum, more would be better.

It would have to be pro Rockets and a once a month post and how much the Mavs suck.

If Houstonist is looking to crack the Clutch BBS as a professional poster, I am all ears.

:D Hey being bilingual is a plus for any job, or in this case, any volunteer work. ;)

As a relocated Houstonian (live in NYC now), I found Houstonist through Gothamist.

Houstonist is ummmm, pretty bare to put it lightly. I would love for more people back home to contribute - sports writing or not - and put some more "non-official" news out there about my hometown.
