I've watched basically every game 1 so far, and I can easily say that we had the loudest, craziest, most energetic fans out of all of them. We have so much tension built up for all these years of mediocrity, all of it came out last night. But I'm sure there's much more in the tank, and the fans will be even CRAZIER monday night!! ROCKETTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am glad to hear that because it was loud at the Phoenix game. The atmosphere was like a play off game. Everybody was pumped up. Let break the sound barrier for game 2.

To be honest, on TV, it really doesn't pick up how loud it was in Toyota Center that night. They need to put microphones in the upper levels cause the 400's section were loud as hell!

I was down in section 112 and I can tell you it was really freaking loud there, too. '97 playoffs loud. It really didn't come across on TV?

What I mean is the TV only picks up the crowd cheering on the lower levels but us upper level fans were loud too! Plus, we almost jumped out of our seats cheering!

you were at game 1 though right?
IMO, all of the home crowds in the NBA playoffs have done their part equally.

I'm saying this becuz i watched our home game, and watched other games...and the crowds on television all sound the same.

Sometimes it depends on what feed you're tuning in. FSN had a lowder crowd volume than ESPN for the Rockets' game 1.

The bigger picture: our fans need to get ROWDY when it counts. It doesn't matter if we're the loudest fans or not. Which, would be nice if we were.

if by tension you mean how long houston fans have waited to get back in playoffs then think about this... Warriors came back to playoffs after 12 years! AND they WON against dallas in Game 1!! and You don't know how loud any arena is until you have personally experienced it by being there.

It definitely helps that THREE out of the 8 game 1's had the road team winning.

Yea, I noticed this... either FSN has the crowd volume maxed out, or ESPN has it muted. Its probably a little bit of both.

I think ESPN doesn't like the crowd to interfere with the commentary, you can hear the real noise level when they show the timeout cut's or live with jimgrey or something. I haven't really paid attention to TNT.

FSN had a lot of crowd noise but ESPN didn't.

After seeing all games on TV, Toronto had the loudest crowd. I thought there was a funeral in Dallas.

Toronto's crowd was the best of all the home game 1s. I'd like to think we were number two. Phoenix got silent when the Lakers gave them trouble in the first half. Toronto, Phoenix, and Cleveland had giveaway shirts, yet we were still blanketed in our color as much as anyone but Toronto. Chicago's crowd was mediocore, and wearing blue, green, whatever. Detroit's and SA's crowd were pretty solid.

We booed Walton. That's bonus points.

I thought it was pathetic how many people in Dallas left the stadium before the game was over. Stay and support your team, people.
