Now granted it's Portland, Oregon and they don't have alot of pro sport teams but I gotta give it up to the fans. They were still loud despite being down by 20 with 6 minutes left.

What if we were up by 20 at home with 6 left?

Something tells me some of our "fans" would clear TC early :(

The 'energy' part I could agree with.

But I think I'll stay away from the 'boo because the other team didn't call a timeout when our player was down' geniuses.

Or maybe the 'keep booing when our hurt star player gets to his feet' part. That was a good one.

Also the part where everyone left before the fourth quarter. That's not too good either.

I agree that there was an incredible mood in that building at tip off, but the late game energy seemed to directed at the officials. I'm not sure that's really something we should replicate, unless you're saying you want Rockets fans to be really enthusiastic whiners.

It could be a tie game with 20 seconds left and people would be "trying to beat traffic."

We would have already been at home down 30 in the 4th quarter.

Yeah, those guys were so loud at the beggining. That was a great atmosphere in the building.

Obviously they were pretty quiet in the 2nd half but still they did a great job.

Rose Garden is one of the most energetic Arenas in the NBA without huge superstars like Kobe or Lebron.

Houston's fans are not loud like some other arenas. Compare them to Arco or Utah or RoseGarden...they paled.

The energy from the players down to the fans was amazing last night.

I'm guessing the people who are complaining about Houston fans have never been to a Rockets playoff game.

Regular season and playoff atmosphere are miles apart.

I've been to a Rockets Playoff game in TC and it is TOTALLY different.
TC does a good job Hyping it up. Turn off the lights and have everyone's red glow sticks light up the arena. People are way more into it.

The Blazers have always had some of the better fans in the league, the only ones who I can think of being louder and more loyal are the j*zz fans and former Supersonic fans.

Haven't even gotten to a home game in the series and already people are complaining about the fans again. Just my guess, but probably op is not one who attends games regularly, either, as is often the case with this type of complaint. Perhaps I'm mistaken, but I doubt it.
