Anybody know any good restaurants. Feeling a little stagnant on the where to eat these days. I wanna go to a brunch with all the bells and whistles. Anybody know a good brunch place. One of the real cool places. All you can eat with free champange kind of place? Is there an all you can eat lobster place in Houston? Cause I know there is one in Dallas?
All you can eat lobster? That really isn't going to get you some good quality lobster there buddy.... Kind of like the all you can eat steak buffet at Golden Corral.... For good lobster go to Pappas Bros. Steakhouse And I don't really think Lobster is much of a brunch item.... But for a fun and affordable brunch with good drink specials check out Berryhill Tamales for their weekend brunch specials. Everyone there is hung over and getting back into drunk mode with delicious margharitas and there is free appetizers.
Sounds like you need to join a country club. Bentwater has a pretty awesome sunday brunch. I myself am not much for caviar and champagne and lobster after a hang over. Give me some good mexican food with margharitas or bloody marys.
Damn, I just saw an ad for all-you can eat Lobster in Friday's or Saturday's Sports section in the Chron. It's 39.95, and might be on certain days, but there is an all you can eat lobster place in Houston. Unfortunately, I can't find the ad or remember the name of the restaurant. As far as must try in Houston, fish tacos! Best in town are: Fried fish tacos-Berryhill Tamales. Grilled fish tacos-Cabo's, and make sure and douse them with Cabo's hot sauce. Both are delicious.
Kroger's® has excellent customer service and a cornucopia of food choices, and they give you free plastic (or paper) bags to take the food home. The checkout girls are usually young and attractive, and they will give you a complimentary massage if you buy Charmin® in bulk. It's some sort of promotion. Tell them thadeus sent you, and I can guarantee you will get some excellent groceries as well as a Kroger's® balladeer who will sing lovely Air Supply songs to you as you're walking to your car. I also enjoy the Kentucky Fried Chicken in the gas station (forgot which gas station) as you drive down Highway 59 towards Wharton. They cook birds and and give them to you in a cardboard box or paper bucket along with a big styrofoam cup of mashed potatoes and gravy. They also take all the feathers off of the bird before they cook it, which is a very nice thing to do for your customers because feathers taste weird and can get stuck in your esophagus. The cool part is you can eat chicken out of a red-and-white KFC® bucket while putting gas in your car, which makes you look super cool and girls will fantasize about making babies with you as they drive by. It's a win-win deal. I have more suggestions, should you need them.
In addition to the aforementioned Brasilian grills, Taste of Texas makes a mean steak. Pappas Bros. Steakhouse is excellent, but rather pricey. Old San Francisco is grotesquely overrated. If you don't want to spend a lot of money, Goode Co. has some excellent BBQ. Phoencia on Westheimer @Wilcrest makes some kickass falafels and shawarmas. There's also plenty of good French/Vietnamese sandwich shops on Bellaire.
I had lunch at Pei Wei today. I'm pretty sure there's one in Houston. The real value is in the $6 lunch dishes.
Best brunch in Houston for the price is Magnolia Bar and Grill on Richmond and Fountainview. 20 bucks, all you can eat cajun/creole, with mimosas. That includes the Oysters, shrimp creole, fried crawfish, etc.
