Will we the NBA's version of the Cowboys? All the talent in the world but still fail to make the playoffs. In fact, many so-called experts were putting the Cowboys in the Super Bowl before the season started. Romo = Yao: Solid player, good all-around guy but sometimes fall shorts in the critical moments T.O. = McGrady: Ultimate Primadonna, Has all the skills to be #1 in his position but can and has been historically cancerous Barber = Artest: Tough as they come but hasn't really contributed when it matters Phillips = Adleman: Both are solid from an x's and o's perspective but they strike me as YES MEN. No backbone in either one and have their players run the asylum.
no, b/c we don't get the national attention the cowboys get. not even close. but your comparisons are fairly accurate.
Those are the worst comparisons ever. Yao is nothing like Romo, T.O is nothingl ike McGrady. Adelman and Phillips is the only thing they might have something alike in. The Cowboys were pretty much the last year's Denver Nuggets T.O = Iverson - Complete Cancer. Romo = Melo - Failure in the Playoffs Phillips = Georger Karl - X's and O's like you said Barber = Kenyon Martin - Tough, but does nothing.
Not a good analogy at all. First, Dallas is Dallas. That's all have to say about that. As far as the Cowboys vs. Rockets, Romo is good QB and great guy, but he doesn't effect the game, like Yao does. T-mac is certainly not a self-serving cancer-inducing virus, like TO. Wade Philips is a below average NFL coach, while Rick Adelman might be one of the greatest coaches in NBA history to not have a title and turnaround two struggling franchises. Every team Wade took over was going into a downward spiral or never did anything significant in the playoffs or regular season...Denver, Atlanta, Buffalo, and now Dallas. Who would take out their starting QB for Rob Johnson for a very winnable playoff game? He was getting outcoached by Art Shell, while the Raiders had a little trouble with the Broncos. Last Sunday proves how much Dallas probably needs another head coach? That fans on these site are way too irritable about everything, if we brought an NBA coach on this team that was comparable to Wade, this team would be hovering around .500....our record is 20-12, how is that bad with injuries we've had?
Wow. I've lived in California all my life and I really don't know the dynamics of the Houston and Dallas city rivalries. Does each city's people really have a hatred towards each other? And if there is hatred, why?
I learned about from an old girlfriend (who kind made a joke about it) and this site. To put into simple words, it is New Texas vs. Old Texas.
this is one of the worst threads in the GARM... and thats saying something. This is basketball, comparing us with Dallas in anything is practically sin. Yao Ming didn't run to Mexico before a playoff game. T-Mac has never done sit-ups in his yard while crying for a new contract. Artest- we're you watching the game against the Jazz? Also, Ron has never played for us in the playoffs, so you can only look at this regular season for him. Phillips is a defensive coach, Adelman is an offensive one. The Cowboys are a team that was just expected to be great and has the public eye on them. Almost no one outside of Houston really cares about the Rockets, and no one expects them to go all the way. This is a terrible thread. Ban user.
