Fritz, so far, is like a breath of fresh air compared to Dana H. UH has had some really "dumpster" coaches, but Dana may be the worst.

Dana is a P5 level QB coach and a G5 level OC, max.

I am not going crazy about all the guys hitting the portal its normal for players to leave when there is a coaching change and it just opens up spots for guys that want to be here.

Dana was the worst communicator, but Helton was the worst coach

Actually, it is a tough competition. Don't forget Levine.

Levine at least seemed like a decent recruiter.

Levine was an extremely nice guy and well-liked, but he presided over the two most embarrassing losses in program history. 2012 vs TX State (infamous loss given that it was TX State's first game in FBS *AND* we fired our OC in week 1) and 2014 vs UTSA (TDECU stadium opener).

I think given that he basically exited football entirely after UH tells us all we need to know about who was truly the most in-over-their-head.

Even 0-11 Dana Dimel is still in the coaching game.

Holgo is basically the least smelly turd in the toilet. Gun to my head I take him over Helton, Levine, Dimel, and Applewhite. But at the end of the day he's still a turd though.

Edit: Actually nevermind. If I had to run it back I'd take Applewhite. His teams were bland as hell but at least he has a chance to evolve into something better.

Levine looked semi-competent the year he had Meecham as OC. And he gave us Greg Ward.

Yeah that year things started to look like they might turn around.

We didn't beat anyone good (our signature win was a 10-4 Rice team) but we lost a bunch of one-possession games to some very good teams.

2014, despite its disastrous start, had a chance of being a good year until we lost vs. a terrible Tulane team on homecoming.

By the end of that year Tony had racked up too many unforced errors to be given more rope.

Is this coming from Fertitta, do his lawyers just not have anything to do or is this some kind of copyright case study for his other businesses?

is there no greater sign of your own program's deep tradition and proud achievements than to ape a dead pro football team using the polar opposite of your school's official colors?

UH to NFL: New blue uniforms are 'drastically different' than 'Luv Ya Blue' of Houston Oilers

A proposed alternate blue uniform to be worn by athletic programs at the University of Houston is “drastically different” than those once worn by the Houston Oilers and “will in no way or manner” cause any confusion, according to emails obtained through an open records request.

In an April 16 email to NFL attorneys, Dona Cornell, UH’s vice chancellor for legal affairs, wrote that the school “plans to use and commercially market” the uniforms.

In the email, Cornell assured the NFL that UH’s football version is “drastically different than the old Houston Oilers football uniform” and includes several distinctions from those popularized by the “Luv Ya Blue” Oilers of the late 1970s.

•No stripes on the jersey, pants or socks.
•A white facemask instead of red facemask.
•Red gloves instead of white gloves.
•Inclusion of “Houston” lettering and Big 12 logo.

“Based on the foregoing, the University’s use of the UH football uniform will in no way or manner cause confusion with any persons, including but not limited to fans, students, and consumers, as well as the general public,” Cornell wrote in the email to Bonnie L. Jarrett, senior counsel for the NFL.

Pezman said the school weighed legal options before deciding to add the alternate uniform. No timetable was given for the rollout, including when merchandise would be available for purchase, but it’s unlikely to be before 2025.

UH has been working with an outside firm for several months on a design that features the light blue — or “Houston blue” — color, Pezman said.

After a follow-up email from Cornell on April 26, the NFL acknowledged it had received notification from UH.

“We received your note and will be responding soon,” Jarrett wrote in an email that same day.

OK? Yall gonna sit at home, give no money, and expect Fertitta to pay for everything?

That's not how college sports works.
