Been there, done that. We know how it would play out. They might have decent attendance at first but they'd probably never make a profit and we'd be looking to dump yet another WNBA team before long.

Give the franchise to a city like Austin that doesn't have anything else going for them.

If it lasts for more than 4 hours, seek medical assistance

Austin seems like the perfect place for the WNBA. Nice size population that is somewhat liberal and no other professional teams to distract from their efforts. With good marketing it would have a reasonable chance of being successful.

I would not, unfortunately it is just not good basketball and it is really frustrating to watch. If you have watched a lot of NBA and then go to watch a bad mens college team, it is frustrating to watch the amount of mistakes they make and lack of organization / play calling that you would be use to. The WNBA is much much much worse, it is like paying to see a pickup game in the park. Their leading rebounder had a quarter of her rebounds off of her own misses, it is just ugly basketball with a bunch of shots near the goal that are misses. No one really shoots well at all, CC is considered the Steph Curry of the WNBA and shoots 34% from a 3 point line that is a full 2 feet closer. They also don't seem to really support each other or like each other, makes the story lines really tough to find interest in.

I would watch it and support my Houston team. It would help and motivate me to tune into my WNBA league pass more. I am all about supporting the league.

Same goes for the NHL. I keep tabs on the Caps here in DC since my wife is a fan.
