Heard this on the radio's "Sporting News segment" while driving in this morning.

It said a report coming out of NY that Houston is about to agree to a 6 year (or was it 7?) 11 mil+ extension with NY.

It looks like a trade is already worked out behind the scenes. I just don't see Houston staying in NY (especially after what Spre said recently).

This article seems to give more credibility to the probability of the Rockets having the best shot at acquiring Webber.

Either Knick management is lying through their teeth (which I find hard to believe) to Houston or they seem to have given up hope for acquiring Webber.

    Go Rockets!

Allan talks as if he's gonna stay with New York, but New York needs size, BAD. They should see if Allan likes the idea of Charlotte or Atlanta, and vice versa.

Come on, Rockets. We can get Webber.

I never, ever, EVER thought I'd write this:

    Go Lakers!

I think that if we get Webber, we could form a dynasty. With Franchise, Cat, C-Webb, and hopefully Mo Taylor. We could take over the Spurs as the best team in the West. JUst compare the lineups:
    Rockets Spurs
    PG Francis Porter/Johson Ad. Rockets
SG Mobley D. Anderson Ad. Rockets
    SF ???? Ferry Ad. Spurs
    PF Taylor Duncan Ad. Spurs
    C Webber Robinson Ad. Rockets
    Bench:
    Advantage Rockets.
I'm not sure if we will re-sign Mo Taylor though, so it could be a whole differnt picture.

The Rockets could use that "bum" at the three position.

I'll tell you what...Stevie Franchise is Houston's best recruiter. He has done a great job getting guys to come here in only 2 seasons. Mo-Taylor is the best example. Remember Mo-Taylor said that Stevie called him everyday as he did with Cuttino the year before.

First of all, Allan Houston has said he does not want to play in sac-town. So, he will be signing this contract with New York, thinking that he will not get traded. I doubt he will do this deal, then get sent to sacramento.

We're talking about a team known for their integrity and honesty. They wouldn't promise to let Allan Houston and then trade him... oh wait... we're talking about the new York Knicks? Allan, pack your bags.

Well, the New York writers seem to understand the Knicks' situation.

Hopefully, Allan will simply return to Detroit. He liked it there, I think. They have plenty of $$$ (although the article doesn't mention it, perhaps this is a reality the NY sportswriters should also face).

4-way trades are complicated as hell. Allan would have to head West in such a deal; why help NY if you're also on an Eastern Conference team?

    The summer's gonna be interesting.
