    What do you think?

    http://www.chron.com/

Looks like a hot mess to me. You have to scroll down past all the Justin Beiber news to find out about a shooting that happened in NJ.

Wow, that is pretty damned poor, if you ask me.

It looks like Myspace barfed it up, and everything is upside down, unless they only want to appeal to the TMZ crowd. i.e. business and real news are at the very bottom of a long ugly page.

I'm pretty sure that all local newspaper sites are now just content built around pee-pee ads designed to generate a few pennies worth of income per click. You cant watch a video on a news site without a 30 second ad playing.

ima, it's not a NJ newspaper, man! :p

It's not that bad. Too bad that you have to look 1/3 down in order to skip the ads and start reading the actual content.

This one could rival Clutchfans: http://blog.chron.com/ultimaterockets/
NOT. Looks like my nephew made it in 9th grade.

Don't think there was anything wrong with it before, but I guess once I get used to it I won't care.

I'm guessing everyone criticizing this never went to the old site? Cause this is about 100 times better than that abortion of a site.

I hated the last update so much I don't necessarily mind this, but once again you have a flagship paper in a top five market declining to identify or brand itself as such. What the **** is a chron?

See, it's a name that neither identifies the city nor the publication it's associated with, either of which would not only be more relevant, logical (as actual words), and possibly more marketable as well. This must be why the Morning News and the Statesman always kick our ass come Pulitzer time....
