I live in Austin, so I read the Chronicle online.... Why is there only ONE article on the Rockets today? This looks like the best first round series in the playoffs for basketball fans in general, and it could be one of the best Houston fans have seen in years. Is there more info in the print version? This seems REALLY weak. In the online section there are: 7 articles on NFL 9 articles on MLB 1 article on Comets 1 article on Rockets (by Fran Blinebury no less) Does the Chronicle suck this bad? Do Houston fans care this little about the Rockets? It looks like USA Today has better coverage of the Rockets.
There's a whole section dedicated to the Rockets and Dallas matchup in todays paper but for some reason it's not available on their website.
Not only that, but the Dallas Morning News and the Forth Worth Star Telegram each have about 6 articles on the Mavericks(about 3 different writers each).
just read the two teams game notes on nba.com... believe me, if you read all that you'll know everything you need to know about the matchup.. and more.
That is a relief... I'll pick one up. I was more worried about the Houston fans than anything. Based on what I hear on league pass coverage (crowd noise, attendance), it doesn't seem that the city is behind the Rockets this season. This would have been the cherry on top if the Chronicle decided the Rockets somehow didn't deserve the coverage. Thanks.
