It was a disappointing season...but I discovered the big NBA season preview and Jonathan Feigen predicted that we would be 43-39! Did anyone notice this? And he said that Nachbar would not be playing much...and we would be in the playoff bubble. And Steve Francis and Yao Ming quickly became friends. Well...this is something that's not related to coaching...

Wow, that's some pretty good predicting. I wonder how long before someone comes in here and bashes Steve for the "Yao friendship" thing.:D

    That isnt predicting...

That is for the most part saying what a team is going to do in the upcoming season, and it happens.

Feigen believed, like most of the rest of the league, that the Rockets were a slightly better than .500 team with a SHOT at the 8th playoff spot. When you play in the West, 43 games just isn't enough anymore.

The success of the team early on was more of a surprise to people than expected.

Impressive, but I've got him beat. before the season began, I predicted that Moochie would dribble the ball 10, 000, 365, 748, 583 times during game action this year, and I was only off by 3.

Yeah, that sucks for the west. But at least its good for the fans, its more competetive and more entertaining.

I was over, but to be fair I thought he'd play more, what with the questions about Steve's headaches...He overwhelmed me in dribble/nanosecond ratio.

    MacBeth,

If it weren't for Larry Smith, Moochie would've been played even less. You were just lucky. You could've missed by 325, instead of just 3.

OR did you predict Rudy's sickness too?

Look more closely. Not only did he get the overall schedule right, he nailed W-L for most of the *months* . It really was a pretty amazing bit of prognostication. (And I noticed it back in January, and there is a thread on it which lasted until the end of the season...)

Hey lets give Pole some props too. He predicted almost the exact same things that Feigen did.

    Hmmmmm ............Pole = Feigen????? ;)
