Brown Bag Deli - 2036 Westheimer @ Shepherd WOW!!! $3 for a sandwich?!?! and we are not talking about regular sliced bread sandwich... this is a bun, with your choice of bread, meat, cheese and toppings and they do not skimp. $1 sides - Red Potato Salad, Fresh Fruit, Cole Slaw, Zapp's Chips $2 desserts - chocolate cake, coconut creme, apple spice cake, lemon creme $1 drinks - coffee, tea, soda's - 50ยข more for bottled drinks This place is great, but leave your credit card at home, cash only! Walk up to the counter, grab a brown bag (with menu printed on it), clipboard and pencil and start checking off the items you want. The food was great, I had a honey ham sandwich on wheat bread, which was slightly sweet, jalapeno jack cheese and all the fixin's I wanted... mayo, honey mustard, deli mustard, lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles. I want to tell all my friends about this place, you can't find a better sandwich in town for $3 unless you make it yourself... This place is destined to be a hit... I think one of the guy's from Barnaby's may have something to do with the business...I've seen the same guy at Barnaby's and at this place! If you want to try a great deli sandwich, give these guys a shot... shoot, for $3 you can not go wrong! Oh and they have a mac inside so you can surf!!!
what are you gonna do, mail them a letter? I don't think they mail sandwiches, besides it's better to eat there! 77098-1507
I sure hope they can mail it, coz after checking out the driving direction, i found out it's gonna be a 30 mins drive to get there.
Is that in the Randall's shopping center? Ive got almost one more month of nothing-ness so I'll give it a shot. And if it sucks, I'll mail you a nasty letter from Connecticut.
it's across the street from Randalls... where the Sprint Store is and in the same location where Quizno's used to be... next to the Exxon.
OK...this place rocks. Nothing super-fancy, but quality stuff all around - Boar's Head condiments, tons of meat & cheese, Zapp's chips, fresh bread. Thumbs up.
Some of us need to hook up around here (if the place is big enough) and then go to the Houston Rockets Open House at the Toyota Center.
Just got back. My one complaint, and it's a meager one, is that there was too much meat on the sandwich. Other than that, my medium rare roast beef with lettuce, pepper jack cheese, mayo and horseradish sauce on jalepeno cheddar bread with a side of Zapp's jalepeno chips was outstanding.
That is the single lamest criticism I've ever heard about a sammich. "I wish for a turkey sandwich, on rye bread, with lettuce, and mustard, and... I don't want any zombie turkies, I don't wanna turn into a turkey myself, and I don't want any more weird surprises, you got it! ... mmm, not bad, nice hot mustard, good bread, turkeys a little dry... THE TURKEY'S A LITTLE DRY!!! Oh, foe, the cursed teeth! What demon from the depths of hell created thee!"
I have eaten there a couple of times and I have to say goodbye to subway and schlotzsky's. It is not even close, Brown Bag makes some mean sandwiches for super cheap and they definitely have better quality fixin's. Grade : A- The minus is for the chip selection. I don't like Zapps.
