Yeah, I agree with you Crispee, Gutter Snipe's place sounds the way to go for our first pick-up game. I saw we just make it there now so he can reserve it and the only stuff we have to take of is minor details like getting a head count and setting a time, etc... Snipe, how is the parking there? Do you have to go through a gate to get in?

Yeah, it's a gated complex. I think I can arrange it so you can just mention my name and apt # (to be later distributed by email) to get in. My wife should also be able to handle the phone if you guys have to call up.

And B, never say frisbee over real golf. =)

True, I shouldn't, especially considering I'm playing in golf scrambles this weekend and next weekend. Real golf just hurts the pocketbook, and sometimes I just have to say no until I get a high paying job.

Everybody on a team hits a tee-shot. You pick your best result and everybody hits the second shot and so forth and so on until you have holed out. It takes the pressure off and is a lot of fun.

Variations may require each team to use 2 drives of each team member, etc.

Okay, it's 11 days away. I think it's time to get a head count for sure so Gutter Snipe can get everyone's email address to send out the details. I'm assuming you were able to reserve the court Gutter Snipe. I would email you directly about this but I guess you don't have it set up to allow e-mails. Did we want to decide on a starting time? What works best for everyone? Three in the afternoon works great for me.

I will play if it is the 14th. I will be on my way back from Whistler on the 13th, so can't play then.

Half court sounds like the way to go, but it gets messy with too many players. 4 per side would be the max, 3 ideal.

    I'm excited.

The apartment complex has yet to put up the reservation sheet for April...slackers. My wife is planning to go down tomorrow and ask for it. She will reserve from 2-5 on Sat. the 13th.

Is this indoors, or out? Especially between the hours of 2-5. It better be a nice and cloudy day. I prefer the 13th. I'm in.

So as of now we have:

    In
B - may be running late, depending on golf game
    R0ckets03 - 99%
Ninja Sauce X - I'm going to skip college and go straight to the cc.net pickup game
    Kam - I need AC
    Gutter Snipe - the host
Buck Turgidson - with a friend or two
    red - #13
Wink3Cat5 - with some friends possibly
    rockHEAD - photographer
    CriscoKidd - and wife

    Out
davo - sorry, it looks like the 13th
JayZ750 - out of town to display his mad ball skills elsewhere
rimbaud - master of the Hobbled Knees offensive attack
    sLaNd B a L L a - I guess we aren't good enough for him

? - post if you can make it for sure April 13th 2-5
    coma
    Nomar
    Rocket River

    Kim
    crispee

And if you aren't on the list, post and I'll edit this so we have a good idea of who is going to be there. Gutter Snipe, please let us know if your wife was able to reserve the court. Also, do we want to cook out afterwards? If so how should we do this? Someone buy the stuff and everyone chip in $3-5? Or just bring your own stuff to grill? Both? Neither? And what about drinks? BYOB (beverages)? Maybe someone who has a big cooler could just fill it with ice and we could store our food/drinks in it until after the game. Just some thoughts to get this rolling.

Oops, consider him as a question mark until he states otherwise.
