Is it going to stop raining sometime soon? Haven't seen anything this tenacious and violent since Ike. I'm not the type of guy who gets woken up at 4am by a storm.
I hope it lets up in the morning. I have something important I would like to do. If the weather is still like this, I'll have to postpone
Speaking of the storms, I'm kinda ticked off right now. The people in the apartment next to me always let their cat run loose outside (terrible idea in the first place if you actually give a damn about your pet) and at the moment it is sitting right in front of their door crying its head off to get inside. I went over and knocked on the door, but there was no answer. I approached the cat but it's so scared that I'm concerned about trying to bring it inside my apartment. I obviously don't know the cat's medical history, especially since it's an outside cat. On top of that I have my own cat and don't want to put her in a hostile situation. So yeah...who the hell leaves their pet out in this weather? Now I have to try and fall asleep while listening to this cat crying for help.
Some people in my neighborhood are going to wake up and find out their cars have been flooded. My neighbor had to park his truck on my driveway. To make matters worse they've been digging up our street so many people have been forced to park on another street and couldn't garage their cars...
Yikes. Ours was at least up to the curb as of last night. I'll have to see later on how high it is this morning.
Dang, our street isn't flooding, but we haven't fixed our roof since Ike. (We got ****ed over the first time we tried to fix it) No school for me though. Today is also the day for TAKS for some grades.
I usually sleep through storms as well, but at 4 am I was awoken by one of the loudest thunder strikes I've heard in a long time. I looked out my window and it looks like lightning had struck the street in front of my house. I went out to look at it this morning only to find that my street is flooded, with water half way up my lawn.
hmm I'm not in school anymore but I know Bear Creek is flooded yet Katy ISD is only on a delay? stupid
****, I woke up like 8 times last night. Had about 2 strikes right outside my place. Not the loudest I've ever heard, but when you wake up after one of those you have no idea what's going on for a couple of seconds.
yea, my friend and my car got flooded, R.I.P. classes at cy-fair college havent been cancelled, now i gotta miss class, call in work, and talk to insurance people all day
I'm stuck on the 59 and Hillcroft overpass right now, waiting on the water to recede so I can go to work. This sucks.
Hmmm, i'm flying in today to Bush Intercon. at 12:45 and driving to Sugerland -- should I cancel and reschedule another day ? I'll be driving down 59 or taking the toll road.
right there with you. thunder woke me up a ton last night. was finally woken up at 6 a.m. by a call from spring branch isd telling me my son doesn't have school today...which means no TAKS testing for him today. when i left for work everyone was still sleeping.
