What do you listen to on your way home from work?

Inspired by the Jos Innes (Whoever that is) thread...

ESPN 97.5 for me... Carl Dukes, Put em Up!

Sometimes 97.5 The Drive with Carl, Dave and Julie.

A lot of the time I get bored with the same topics all the time, and put on some good tunes.

The show I'll never turn off in favor of music is The Blitz on 97.5, 12-2PM. AJ Hoffman cracks me up with his sarcastic sense of humor.

I used to listen to AM, but you can't compete with the quality from 97.5. I can actually hear what they are saying.

Not to mention that they have the sexiest man in Houston radio, Fred Faour.

I concur with the sentiment that if you do not listen to Charlie Palillo, you are of less than average intelligence.

Odd that it shows 82 votes next to 97.5 but if you click on the number it seems there are only a handful.

You don't have to be a member or logged in to vote. 97.5 employees are flooding the poll. LOL.

I don't thin you have to be logged in or registered to vote on polls on the bbs.

I remember voting on stuff as a lurker before I registered.

I used to listen to Charlie, but he has becoming annoying to me to the point I can no longer listen to him. He's become too condescending for my taste and his show is also mostly caller driven which I don't love

I listen to Charlie when I listen to sports radio in the afternoon, but on the whole, afternoon sports radio in Houston is a wasteland.

He's smart and has an impressive store of sports trivia in his head. If I need a quick answer and don't have a web browser at hand, he'd be good to talk to.

But, frankly, he's kind of a bore to listen to at length, and I'm not fond of the nasally voice either.

I'm also not a fan of caller-driven radio, especially when its just one host. Really bad combination IMO.

And why is that Charlie never has guests on his show or does interviews?

That's exactly the way I feel about Charlie. He's good for a segment or two because he is so knowledgeable, but he's tough to listen to for hours on end because the callers end up asking the same handful of questions the entire time.

I didn't even remember there was sportstalk on 97.5 until this thread. I'm thinking someone is spamming this thread with votes because there's no way 97.5 dominates the drivetime airwaves.

LoL at the results no way this is accurate...

In all the threads discussing sports radio there is rare mention 97.5. I dont think theres much love or hate for any of their host...

And its Charlie all the way for me unless the 790 signal is bad than its J/R if they are way out of hand which is often the case I'll just rotate b/w the country stations for the drive home..
