Hi,I live in Colombia,South America,but I'm planning on going to Texas to have work experience in the summer.I've been told that for three months, I would need about $1200 for living expenses, but would like to search other options on my own.I'm going with two other students so I would like to know about how much would cost the rent of a modest apartment in Houston,in a decent neiborhood, and how much would I spend on food,etc.Any information would be greatly appreciated,thanks a lot!!
You have two choices: Less expensive, but nice apartment in the suburb, but you have to travel to work 45minutes to an hour, or more expensive place 10 minutes from work. Which part of Houston are you working. When my wife did her internship downtown, a bunch of people lived at this place called Allen House.
