I'm looking to buy a new home but I want a big yard. Something from half an acre to one acre. Until I started looking I didn't realize how many neighborhoods around town that offered them. I always thought I would have to live way out, like in Tomball or Magnolia.
I'd like to stay on the west side, around Highway 6 and in. I found a few around 290 and Hwy 6.
Anyone know of any other good ones?

Up to $700 but I'd rather keep around 500-600. I do have someone helping me by sending me listings but I do a lot of my own searches on HAR. If you don't mind me having more than one realtor then by all means send me some listings. The lady whose helping me has been sending me stuff on the NW side of town. You can probably focus SW and Katy and won't overlap.

OK, let me get this straight. You are looking for a relatively new home, on 1/2 an acre to 1 acre. Priced between 500k-700k? The lower the better. If you can narrow down the area that you want me to hit, I can get some listings to you. And on the lady that is helping you, Is she your realtor or is she just helping you out? Oh and can I get the email you want me to send the listings to.

She is a realtor. I met her at one of the mall kiosks thing when I was bored during tax free weekend. I told her I wasn't really looking but she's been emailing me stuff since. That's been a few months already but this Saturday will actually be the first time I'm going out with her to see anything. Seeing all those houses finally got my blood going and now I'm more serious about it. (Guess she knew how to hook me).
I figure as long as you guys aren't sending me the same listings then there shouldn't be a conflict. If you look around Sugarland and Missouri City that would be good. I don't want to be too far out. Hwy 6 should be about as far as I want.
    My email is photograffiti@gmail.com
    Thanks

I was looking for land north of Dallas and also in the Magnolia area, but have cooled the search off a bit because of work getting hectic. I need to drive around the Magnolia area sometime in the next few months.

*EDIT* : wups, thought you said you wanted to move out by Magnolia/Tomball... post edited. :)

Email sent, not that much in those areas. Sugarland/Missouri City and Katy. If you see one you like, just let me know.

A guy I work with moved from Cyfair out to Magnolia and he loves it. He's got a 3 acre lot and has a a dirt bike track for his kid and stuff. I don't need all that so I doubt I'll move out that far.

Really? That's surprising. It's such a large, growing area. Are the houses out of my price range or something?

I've search up to a 1000000 in those areas and it only gave me 5 more houses. Mostly in the high 800k.So price isn't an issue. I know of one in Pearland/Cullen thats on one acre.

Oh well. $800k is out of my range. Guess I'll have to stick with the northside.
