Horry told reporters at the charity softball tournament here in H-town that he will stay in LA for sure.

Marky, where'd you hear this? The local sports station here in Houston had a interview with Horry but there was no mention from him about his being ultimately assured of being a Laker next year. Though im sure he stated this, I doubt he would inwardly void a trade that would send him too Houston. Him doing so wouldn't make sense at all, especially considering his recent statements about having a strong desire to be closer to his family.

Horry said that yesterday (Friday) was the day to file to opt (something like that) and he declined to do so. He will be a Laker and win another championship again next year.

He must be going somewhere other than LA if he'll be winning a championship next year. [IMG]

I have a feeling the Lakers won't just fly through the playoffs next year. Wait 'till they meet a team with true heart...Philly had it, but they were just too beat up to compete. Don't want to take anything away from the Lakers, they are a great team, but they're not a dynasty yet.

Agreed. I said all along if you combined the Spurs talent with Philly's hustle/heart, you would have had a great series with the Lakers.

If you combine Shaq and Kobe with McGrady and Gary Payton...

I still don't see a team who could step up against LA...

Unless Philly is able to add a legit #2 scorer...

SA is done... They are an aging team... Ditto for Por...

Dal will be LA's main competitor next year...
