Yes and no. He was a regular season role player to be sure, but he was a different player in the playoffs. He was the third best player in the 95 Rockets championship team (and arguably the second best in the Finals). He also single handedly won games for the 2002 Lakers and 2005 Spurs that were critical to those championships. We talk about Horry like he was Steve Kerr, but he brought a lot more to the table than that: elite defense & passing, rebounding, and in his prime, he was a decent all-around scorer. Horry is in the top 15 all-time in playoff steals and blocks, including a Finals record 7 steals in a Finals game in 1995.
