WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski [rQUOTEr]New Orleans has traded Quincy Pondexter to Memphis for Grevis Vasquez, a league source tells Y! Sports.[/rQUOTEr]
Thought Vasquez was solid for them in the playoffs <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/8kIBgQRnklE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Grizzlies just signed Jeremy Pargo, one of the best PGs in Europe last year. They also drafted Josh Selby, who should be a better pro than a college player.
Saw Selby live in Vegas summer lockout games with Lowry. Very explosive but SG, not PG asFar as I can tell.
Maybe Lionel Hollins has an unforgiving long memory. ChrisVernonShow Chris Vernon of all the plays in OKC series - when I asked Lionel last week what he thinks of - he brought up Vasquez botching D on Hardin in 3OT game.
Why go and get Pondexter though? They have Tony Allen/Rudy Gay/OJ Mayo/Xavier Henry/Josh Selby for the 2 and 3 spots already; couldn't they have tried to get a big body instead to fill for Arthur? Maybe Craig Brackins in Philly?
He played his role in the success they had last season, stupid to let him go. Oh well thats good for us, they just got weaker. Selby, Henry, Young and Cunningham form a pretty weak bench. They need to trade Mayo for a big who can spell Gasol.
