Yeah, try crossing Holland/Lincoln tunnel during NBA game times. Would you drive to Rockets games if they were over an hour away? Factor in the new arena, and the fact that the Nets already have Williams, Brooks, Lopez, and Wallace.

It's not Stern's fault the Nets were stupid enough to trade their pick away.

The owner promised to keep the Hornets in NO (he didn't have a choice anyways), and Stern promised the number one pick (he didn't have a choice if he wanted to sell). A promise to the first pick in the 2012 NBA draft will get you the asking price on an NBA team. It's hard to sell a team at market value otherwise, just ask Les.

How is that a burn? I said they were in a new city and they are....wtf

They are constructing a new arena in a new city....that alone brings in the sheep. Why would stern promise them a pick? That trade was made on chance... New owner don't think it's rigged.

Didn't Washington also win the #1 pick the year new ownership assumed control?

i live in brooklyn and agree with your views on the move. it wont matter who is on the team. it will sell out for the first year minimum. brooklyns got like 2 million residents, bigger than most major cities in the usa. theres a lot of 'brooklyn' pride and it would not shock me to see that translate into its only professional sports team

The league fixed this **** so hard!

The league owned team, with an 11% chance of getting the top pick, beats out 3 teams with better odds. Luck or BS?

The way the league treats its stars and how precious money/profit is to these whores makes me lean towards BS. It must really suck to be a Bobcats fan, they need to move that franchise to Seattle.
